Looking for something a little different? Love the mischievousness of Pongo setting up his owner with Perditas? This is the book for you! Completely written from Gatzs (a border collie) point of view, this book gives you all the goofy tricks this good boy goes through to get his owners back together. Does it work? Or does Gatz learn a bigger lesson? What lengths will he go to in order to match his parents back up?

Karin loved this book, and it was a quick, humerous read. Ironically, she didn't do a lot of research before reading. She just plucked it off the shelf.

How cute are these wooden bookmarks? Our favorite part (besides the obvious cuteness) is that they are thinner than many wooden bookmarks we have encountered before. Also, they are made by a local community member who started making them for his wife (cue the "awww shucks!" and "why doesn't my husband do that?" feelings).

These are a trial run to see if you guys want them as an option in the store. With all sorts of options available what would YOU want to see on a bookmark?

For all our Terry Brooks fans....boy do we have a surprise for you! These are all sold as the sets, but there were quite a few extras that were put out on the shelf! Rumor has it there's also some paperback Wheel of Time books out on the shelf as well.

Oops! This book kept Karin up way past her bedtime last night but she's not regretting it. What a beautifully twisty book. She thought she figured it out a few times, but she didn't see some of the surprises coming! Have any of you read the Housemaid series? Thoughts?

Karin got book mail. Book mail is a form of therapy, right? The point of therapy is to be happy after all. Yup, your therapist is going to tell you you're supposed to deal with your problems by assessing the issue and solving it, but we think you could also just use the avoidance technique for today. I mean, who has the energy to deal with their problems on Wednesday anyway?

Be like Karin today and buy some new books for an immediate rush of endorphins. We got you boo!

Watson would like you all to know he passed his "good behavior" test today and now will be in every day his mom works (Saturday, Sunday and Monday). If you need puppy cuddles, Watson has got you covered....but he hasn't really found his genre yet so don't expect any recommendations 🤣

Karin brought quite a few goodies to the shop today...including Watson. Come say hello on his first Saturday shift! If we can make it through today without any incidents, he will be a regular every day Karin is here.

One of her new to her books that Karin found at for their anniversary sale! 5 years of book slinging for my bookloving friend, Alex! If you haven't been, we highly encourage a little day trip over to Coeur D'Alene to visit her!

What a perfect reading on the porch day (or in your hammock, by the pool, on the side of a mountain... you get the idea). Karin is home on her porch, watching the neighborhood kiddos ride up and down the sidewalk as she reads.

We are so excited to announce our very first charity for our profit share! We will be giving Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary 10% of our profits from the first week of July, August and September!

Who is Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary? Cheri and her team provide not only a rescue for homeless animals but also a safe and comfortable space for animals to live out their last days if need be (like animal hospice!). They strive to educate the public on animal rescue and all the ways you can help save animals in less than ideal conditions. However, they don't stop there! Cheri also works with local foster agencies to promote independence and animal care skills by allowing children in care to come and help care for the animals and their environment at the sanctuary. How cool is that?

How can you help? You can volunteer your time or you can come buy books! Come shopping July, August or September on the 1st through the 7th and 10% of your purchase amount will be donated to the nonprofit.
