Great day for a river cleanup! Thanks to all our participants, we had some stellar trash pickups 😄🛶

Last Weekend, 7 of our GU Outdoor Trip Leaders partnered with the Center for Community Engagement by hosting five groups of high school/middle school students from all over the Spokane area as a part of Zag for a Day!❤️💙

Our goal and accomplishment of this event was to get these students excited about attending a university/college as well as getting them involved in the outdoors!

Join us next Thursday for the screening of “Expedition Reclamation” as well as the panel discussion afterwards!

This film weaves together a tapestry of voices from 12 Black, Indigenous, and women of color who are redefining “outdoorsy” and reclaiming belonging in outdoor culture.

Members from will be coming to Gonzaga to present an Intro to Skiing Workshop then you will have the opportunity to go for a ski trip to Mt. Spokane a few days later!

Gonzaga Outdoors and the Lincoln LGBTQ+ Center are partnering to offer an exciting trip offering!

On Saturday Feb 5th, our two programs will collaborate to host a Mt. Spokane snowshoe LGBTQ+ affinity OUTing. This is a great way to build community and get outdoors. Can’t wait to see you there!

‼️GU OUTDOOR OPEN POSITIONS‼️

The two Outdoor Pursuits Programmers are responsible for engaging students within the Outdoor Pursuits Living Learning Community (Marian Hall). The OPPs are the trip leaders in the building and will act as student leaders to Marian and liaison between housing and GU Outdoors. This includes leading single and multi-day trips, hosting various movies, speakers, skill clinics and bike/ski tuning events. You will be hired as a Trip Leader and go through the same training required for all Gonzaga Outdoors Trip Leader.
