December 17th - mark your calendars !
We will be having our Christmas program . Not only will the children be putting on a spectacular message of Jesus’ birth, but the adult choir will also be singing 🎶🎶🎶. But wait that’s not all after you hear all of these wonderful messages stick around for another surprise visit 🎅🏼. What? You want more?? Well you got it! We will also have dinner before the program - soup and sides. (Please bring a dish to share ).
So…. December 17th. 4:00 dinner, program at 6:00 - play participants need to be at church by 5:00 to get ready.

Come rejoice with us and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior.
We will have a special Christmas Eve Service at 6:00pm. Communion will be also be served.

Thank you to everyone who helped us feed 17 families this Thanksgiving.
Matthew 25:35 - For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me….
Our church is small but mighty! Thank you all again!

Funeral arrangements for Robert are as follows:
Visitation will be this Sunday night at Covenant Funeral Services, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Monday, at 2:00 PM, at Mine Road Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery following. There will be a reception in the fellowship hall immediately following, covered dishes are welcomed, per the families request, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to our church.

Matthew 25:21 says, “The Master was full of praise, Well done my good and faithful servant, you have been faithful in handling small amounts, so now I give you more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!” And with this God called Deacon Robert Lam into His arms yesterday. Robert was a Christian man, who loved his family and God very much. Always one to lend a hand and help wherever needed. Robert will be missed by many but not as much as his family as he was their rock and foundation. Please lift them up in your prayers today and all the days ahead. Funeral arrangements will be posted at a later time.

We will have “hobo stew,” hot dogs, goodies, each child will get a pumpkin to paint, and more.

There will be a meeting this Sunday, the 22nd, after church to discuss the children’s Christmas program. If you are interested in helping or have children you would like to participate please plan on attending. Thanks

The Youth Cooking class that was scheduled for this Saturday, 14 Oct has been canceled and will be scheduled at a later date.

On behalf of the Mine Road Homecoming Committee, we want to thank everyone for helping make today a wonderful day of celebrating our Lord and celebrating 232 years! It was a huge blessing.

Bobby Gallahan was called home and we ask you keep Thelma and family in your prayers. Bobby’s services will be held here, at the church, on Friday at 3:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Fellowship will be held afterwards in the social hall. Covered dishes are welcomed. Rest easy Bobby you are loved and will be missed.

As we upgrade the church sanctuary, they began sanding and painting the sanctuary this week. This has caused dust and fumes. Therefore we will not be having Sunday School tomorrow. Please join us at 11:00am, in the fellowship hall for Worship Service.

HOMECOMING
Oct 8th starting at 10:00am.
All are invited to join us in celebrating our 232nd homecoming. There will be no Sunday school that day, instead we will begin at 10 o’clock, bringing special music will be a Little Falls Bluegrass Gospel Band, former pastor Ray Farrow will be bringing the message and of course lunch will be served immediately following around noon. Come out and join us, we are looking forward to seeing you.

What a wonderful time we had at the Youth Picnic. A big Thank you to Sherri and Anna for putting the picnic together. Thank you for all the folks that helped out and brought a side dish. The kids had an amazing time playing kick ball.
