Our Windy Hill artists were busy creating some sea turtle friends today-here are some of the results! Thank you Pat for yet another fun Paint with Pat class! 🎨🖌

Thank you to the Memory Cafe group for their latest community service project. This week they put together donations they received for a Christmas in July event to treat residents at You First Personal Care in Hanover. The gift bags will be delivered to the personal care home on Wednesday, July 24th. What a great community service project! Thank you to this group for their continued efforts to serve our community!

"The Power of Plants". A big thank you to Rev. Brenda M. Alton, PhD for joining us today to share the health benefits of a plant-based diet. Did you know about the incredible power found within plants to help fight the root causes of many illness? The group at UPMC Central Pa. knows! Keep a look-out on our social media pages and our monthly newsletter for more health & learning opportunities!

We are in week 5 of our Creative Writing class & the creativity is flowing! We will be holding three more classes for this session & you are free to join the class at any time! No experience required! These classes can help participants learn how to get creative! It is a lot of fun! 🖊📒

🎉Chair Exercise continues! 🎉Thanks again to our dear friend, member & co-worker Risa for hosting & livening up our classes! We look forward to Risa joining in the future as able, but we would also like to announce that we have received some superb support from other Windy Hill members who plan to volunteer their time hosting classes as well! Today's class was hosted by Marilyn! Come on out & show your support Mondays & Wednesdays! We will also return to sharing the classes on FaceBook Live!

We had a fun time with Katie yesterday for her Watercolor class! All who joined made some beautiful & "refreshing" watermelon paintings! 🍉They were perfect creations in the midst of this summer heat. ☀️ Katie will be holding her next Watercolor Class on Tuesday, August 13th. Mark your calendars & plan to attend! The theme will be ladybugs!

Just as a reminder, Windy Hill will be closed Thursday, July 4th in celebration of the Independence Day holiday. We will reopen on Friday morning at 8:30 am.

Today we said "Until next time" to Risa, our Program Assistant, after 9+ years of dedicated service to Windy Hill. We sure will miss her beautiful smile, and genuine personality. This is not goodbye though. Risa plans to continue to help out as she is able. She will forever be a part of the Windy Hill family!

Attention: Hatha Yoga moved to Tuesdays at 1 pm starting this month. Unfortunately, the first class will have to be postponed until next Tuesday, July 9th at 1 pm. Please note, there will no longer be a yoga class on Thursdays; the Tuesday class is replacing the Thursday Yoga class. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We are excited to announce a winner was finally drawn for lucky lunch!! Congratulations to Mike Strouse for winning a total of a whopping $3,124.50! This is the highest total we've ever had by a long shot! We are so happy for you, Mike!
