IT IS TIME FOR THE SPRING GROVE FIRE DEPARTMENT THURSDAY DINNER SPECIAL UPDATE.......... Thursday December 7th, It Is Hamburg Steak, Scalloped Potatoes and a Vegetable. Homemade soup is Chicken Corn Soup. We also have an Ala Carte Menu seen below. Come on out to the Spring Grove Fire Department and let the cooking to us. Awesome home cooking by our famous kitchen crew in York County. Dont forget desserts they are all made in house and so delicious.

With this being Give Tuesday, which is an honorary day of giving for non profit organizations. If you have received our donation forms in the mail. Please consider giving to our organization. We are a 100% Volunteer organization.

The donations assist in helping the town of Spring Grove in many ways.

We provide emergency services 24/7, fire prevention to schools and community groups. Assisting the residents of the borough in many activities. The donations assist in keeping our apparatus in working order to enable us to provide services. Assists in defray our cost of utility bills and repairs to our building, housing our apparatus and providing social events to assist in making money to provide services to the community. Your donation helps in many ways, so our organization can help you and your neighbor's in many situations.

If you reside in Spring Grove Borough you may have or will receive a donation request as a part of our fund drive, please be assured that it is NOT a scam and that we appreciate any and all donations! The donation request also comes with information on fire prevention, information about our company and information about other fundraising events we host. All donations go to the operation of the Fire Company!

Another Sunday training in the books! Earlier today members focused on truck and engine ops. We started the morning out with teaching & refreshing members on ground ladders. This was followed up by some drafting and elevated master stream operations for our Truck & Engine operators and operator trainees. Good job by all, and as always thank you to the members that provided us with lunch afterwards!

It is the time of season for Chimney fires. Please have your Chimney inspected and cleaned to ensure it is in working order

Please utilize this information to the fullest. First Responders are working diligently to assist someone that is in need of emergency care. They do not need to and should not have to worry about someone not obeying the law to slow and move over. Just remember we may someday need to assist you or family or friends of yours.

Drive with our lives in mind, it is the least you could do. So we all return home.

A reminder that Tuesday October 31st is trick or treat in the Spring Grove area. In the Borough we will be having guards at the following cross walks. Railroad and Main beside the fire department. Constitution and Main, College and Jackson Street. For the safety of everyone Please cross Main street at one of the areas and wait for the person manning the area to let you cross. With Halloween right around the corner, we wanted to reminded everyone where we will be placing crossing guards on October 31 for trick or treat. Below are the intersection in the Borough that we will be placing crossing guards at.

West Jackson Street/ N Main Street
E College Avenue/ N Main Street
Constitution Ave/ Main Street
Railroad Street/ S Main Street

We ask that everyone trick or treating using these crosswalks with crossing guards posted at to ensure the safety of all of our trick or treaters!

And don’t forget to stop by the firehouse to get some candy!

On behalf of Friendship Hose Co #1, we would like to thank all that stopped by and purchased items from our fire department food area the night of the Halloween Parade. It was very successful. We apologize for the long waits and running out of food early. Being the first year we did not know what to expect. We are looking forward to next year.

A big thank you to all the volunteers that took their time and manned the Food Area and that assist with traffic control. With out all that assisted us, we could not have pulled it off. Everyone did an outstanding job

What to do for dinner this Wednesday for the Halloween Parade?

We will be selling food and drinks in the Engine room of the FIRE Department on Main Street.

We will have Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, French Fries and Chips. Soda, Bottle Water, Coffee and Hot Chocolate.

We will start serving around 530 and keep selling through out the Parade or sold out.
