We are celebrating one year in business this month! Came in today to these flowers from Diane from Dear Designs. This made my day! It has been a great year, but it hasn't always been easy. As a small business owner, you have long days and sleepless nights. You take a leap of faith to go out on your own and design something that you are passionate about, but the work that goes along with it, phew... it's tough sometimes. However, these flowers are a reminder that this was and is the dream. I am able to live a more family focused lifestyle and involve my children in the hard work it takes, but the rewards that follow.

What you might not know is that Diane, our resident painter, was the final piece of the puzzle that we had been praying about. Not 15 minutes after I was on the phone with Chris, when he told me to pray about finding someone to paint the furniture for those that don't want to finish it themselves, Diane walked in and introduced herself and said that she paints furniture and if I ever needed anyone to let her know. Well, I took that as an answered prayer. Little did she know, that's all she would be doing for the next year!

With just myself and my soon to be husband, Chris, we went into this alone last year and a year later have an entire community of support. So, special thanks to Diane Dear with Dear Designs, Dee and Vince Montefusco from Vince Woodworks, and of course our customers who have created a wonderful community of support.
