TEXAS HOUSE BILL WILL PREVENT NON PROFIT CLINICS LIKE TLC FROM HELPING THE PUBLIC. House Bill 3806 sponsored by Drew Springer will limit the services a non profit clinic can provide to the community to spay/neuter and vaccines only. This bill will hurt so many people in our community. We need you all to call or write your State Representative and let them know this bill should not pass. TLC has so many clients with multiple animals who just cannot afford basic wellness services at full service clinics. They rely on us for heartworm testing and prevention, flea prevention, and other basic wellness services. Many of our clients can only afford one heartworm pill a month.
In addition, our wellness services support the free services and other lifesaving programs we offer to the community. Our shelter intervention program provides options to pet owners who otherwise would have to turn their pets into a shelter. We help people who have lost their jobs, fire victims, etc. These wellness services are critical to our lifesaving efforts in your community.
Please take a few minutes and either write or call your Texas State Representative and tell them to vote NO on HB3806. I called mine and it only took about 2 minutes of my time.
You can look up your representative here: https://house.texas.gov/members/find-your-representative/
Here is the information on the bill if you would like to read it in full: https://legiscan.com/TX/bill/HB3806/2019
PLEASE CROSS POST FAR AND WIDE. ONLY YOU CAN HELP KEEP THIS FROM PASSING!!!!
