Jamie, our wonderful friend and receptionist from Westfield Gardens, surprised us with a visit. She's always so thoughtful, treating our team with candy when they stop by for patients. Today, she made a special trip to meet and treat the voices behind all her phone bookings. We truly appreciate our fantastic relationship with Westfield Gardens! Thank you, Jamie!

Today at National, we had the privilege of having an insightful M&M session led by Mercy Medical Center's EMS Coordinator, Renee Rochette. The session focused on the crucial topic of Altered Mental Status in EMS, covering critical topics such as stroke, sepsis, intoxication, and substance abuse.

We were also introduced to Dr. Goebel, the new EMS Physician at Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Goebel will be manning the Mercy Fly Car, providing invaluable support to local EMS teams on calls.

A big thank you to both, for joining us and sharing their expertise!

Glorivee has truly gone above and beyond, earning two back-to-back compliments!

First, a patient was so impressed by her care he not only expressed how fantastic she was but requested her for future transports.

Second, Glorivee received praise from multiple EMTs, paramedics, student riders, and her dispatcher. During a routine transport with one of our regular patients, she immediately noticed something wasn't right. Trusting her instincts, she checked the patients' vitals and called for backup, ensuring the patient received the urgent care they needed.

Thank you, Glorivee, for your exceptional work and for always putting patients first!

🚑 Attention All EMS Personnel 🚑

Baystate Health has reached out to us regarding an important safety concern. They've noticed that many families that are brought to the emergency room with a young child or in anticipation to deliver their child often do not have a car seat with them.

While they understand that a car seat might not always be the first priority during an emergency, Baystate is asking that, whenever feasible, EMS teams remind families to bring their own car seat if they have one available. (Please note, this is not mandatory, and transport should not be delayed if a car seat is not present). The hospital is unable to provide car seats, which can result in delays in discharges and complications in arranging safe transportation home.

After requiring an ALS intercept, our crew John D. and Elijah D. wanted to extend a massive thank you to Becky and Joe of the East Longmeadow Fire Department for their quick response, professionalism, and outstanding teamwork!

When we connected with them, they sent the kudos right back to our team, praising our EMTs for their sharp recognition of the need for ALS-level care and for asking all the right questions. Noting it's clear that both are passionate about their work and committed to excellence.
