Wide range of handyman/carpenter services available. Door & window installation, siding repair & ins
Added railings and fixed up a few things. Got a little too late to finish unfortunately.
Milwaukee FTW, although probably not the best thing for the vehicle using an 18 volt battery to start it. 8.0ah battery had all 4 bars when I hooked it up & that completely discharged it too.
Before & after half bath remodel. New toilet, vanity top, sink, faucet, light, exhaust fan, swutch, cabinet hardware and towel ring. Got rid of the outdated built in soap dishes, patched the holes, gave everything a fresh coat of paint. It's a little hard to tell in the first pic, but the wall opposite the door was (well, technically still is) the same paneling as the bright blue wall 2nd to last pic. It had a few spots in pretty bad shape. Not much you can do, short of tearing it all out and installing new drywall. I think my solution yielded satisfactory results, I know the customer is quite pleased with it.
More before & in progress shots of the current project. The door & window trim is standard stuff, and the rosettes on the corners were purchased pre-made. The raised panels & moldings on the backside of the cabinets I made myself out of plywood and 1x2 & 1x3 common. I didn't use a router table, so they're not perfect, but they're also not finished.
Some before & in progress shots of the kitchen renovation I'm currently working on. Here we have the double cabinet over the fridge that was made a little smaller so a larger fridge would fit. The wall with the window had a lot of water & mold damage. Opened the wall, let everything dry out, treated everything a few times with mold killer/growth inhibitor. Put some nail stops over the gas supply line to the range. New countertops, drywall, door & window molding. Still a work in progress, but it's moving along.
Started this after I finished the gazebo. At midnight. Wrapped it up in 2 hours. The fire pit, not everything lol
The client I built the gazebo and fire pit for had the misfortune of getting robbed by another contractor. He disappeared after doing about half of the deck he was hired to do. I finished the deck, and offered to fix the siding here for no labor charge. Oh boy. I should have looked a little closer first. The driveway guy buried the bottom panel & the J channel. And of course I ran into some rot in the sheathing. Fixed it up the best I could with some leftover materials for now. They're happy I caught what could have been a major issue in a few years, and I did my good deed for the day.
Another past vinyl siding job. This was in Wilbraham, Ma. Pretty good sized house. The sloped side with all of the sand was a nice touch as well, I wish I could set all of my pump jacks in the dunes.
Well, it was a long night, but I got the gazebo put together and built a firepit (separate post) for the customer. All by myself too. I figured out a couple little tricks to speed up the process which certainly didn't hurt.
Nice day to be outside yesterday. Spent most of it putting this trampoline together. To call the instruction manual vague at best would be giving it too much credit. At least the homeowner had dogs I could play with every time I got irritated ππShe was pleased with the end result, her grandson even more so.
Another past project, some framing & sheathing.
Got something slightly productive accomplished. Came across this old wooden Country Club soda case. I thought it would be a neat way to store some of my records. Wrong. The short dimension is too short to attempt to manipulate, and the long dimension is, well, too long. Now I have a shelf in the bathroom that pretty much makes up for the lack of a medicine cabinet. I noticed in the pics it looks like it is awfully close to the towel bar, so I threw in the pic with the measurement.
Another vinyl siding job from a few years back. Took a while to get there, but the customer was more than pleased with the end result.
Finished product pics of a vinyl siding job a few years ago. All new siding, soffit, shutters, gutters, metal trim.
Refinished the wood floors, installed new window trim, painted walls and trim. I'm unfortunately missing finished pics of the bathroom. Replaced subflooring to the extent customer could afford, installed new vinyl flooring, baseboard, lights, fan, toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet, switches & outlets. Reinstalled the old cast iron radiator. New caulking around the tub, painted the walls and trim.
Removal of old garbage disposal, installation of a new one.
you should remember this one, another thank you for plugging me in on it. The Chester DPW. Pole barn. The DPW set the poles with their boom truck, and assisted in setting the trusses with it. Lull with a work platform on site with a DPW employee around to raise & lower us. Other than that Mike Burns & I framed, roofed and sided that beast ourselves. The pair that could beat a full house, and build one too. My Milwaukee drill & impact, Burns Dewalt drill & impact, a Porter Cable pancake compressor, Ridgid framing gun & Makita corded circular saw. No other power tools. πͺπ½πͺπ½
More pics of previous work. The first 2 are the Granby Tennis Club in Granby, Ct. Replaced the windows, trim, and some siding. Painted the interior and exterior. The other pics are a door installation where there wasn't an existing doorway. credit with the assist on the Tennis Club job.
Some new construction roofing this time. Berkshire Hills Music Academy, South Hadley, Mass. The cursed jobsite. My partner at the time got hurt the 1st day there. I got about half of the job done by myself, my partner returned, and I got hurt. He ended up having to finish it by himself.
Porch reroof. This one's pretty self-explanatory. New roof, no skylights? No problem.
Pipe boots, pitch box, patch a few holes, new flashing on the lip of the upper roof. The pipe boots & pitch box were for new penetrations made to accommodate equipment for the new tenant. All of the holes in the section over Ocean State were caused by negligence. An a/c compressor was replaced in an RTU, and you could see where it was dropped, dragged to the side, then launched into the shrubs below. This was a Sarnafil TPO roof, Ocean State Job Lot building, Boston Rd Spfld.
Pics of a few EPDM flat roof repairs I've done over the past few years.
Porch repair. Replaced beams, decking, columns where needed.
Repaired, patched, painted walls & trim
Install new garbage disposal.
Window and siding replacement, Granby Tennis Club, Granby Ct
Replace damaged drywall, re caulk tub surround, paint walls and ceiling, new light over the medicine cabinet, new medicine cabinet, new outlets & switches, new towel rods, new shelving.
Pole barn, Chester DPW, Chester Mass. I wish I had more pictures, most of this was framed by 2 of us, the roofing and siding was only me and another guy.
French door installation, Agawam Mass
