The Documentation Specialist is responsible for processing supplier and customer shipping documentation for our growing import/export business, Labrador Recycling

Coordinate shipment details with trade and logistics teams to ensure exceptional customer service through accurate and timely documentation. The role includes interfacing with customers, shippers, consignees, and transportation providers relating to global shipments.

This role is expected to handle transactions and tasks to meet company needs and government requirements.

This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer

The responsibilities of the Documentation Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate circulation of documentation from suppliers and customers.
• Receive, review, and process documentation for import/export transactions to ensure all documentation is accurate and complete, using company operating system.
• Recognize and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Acquire and/or maintain knowledge of current INCOTERMS and AES filing requirements
• Work as a team member to proactively resolve any problems or irregularities.
• Provide excellent customer service to suppliers and customers.
• A great opportunity to grow in a dynamic company that contributes to sustainability through commodity recycling.

Required Skills
• Computer skills required to learn a new software in a timely fashion.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, meet deadlines, manage risk, and deal with problems.
