Current and Alumni members of Big Y's Women LEAD group participated in a community event at Christina’s House in Springfield, MA. The vision of Christina’s House is to provide mothers and their children with life skills needed to become self-sufficient as they transition from homelessness to permanent and stable environments. Big Y's Women LEAD was able to identify various volunteer opportunities, as both properties needed extensive landscaping. All hands were on deck to turn around all areas of their outdoor space and get them ready to enjoy summer days and evenings outside. With the help of some Big Y local partners, they were able to donate mulch, floral hanging baskets and various food items. Great job Women LEAD!
