Celebrating 26 Years in Business
One of our Jobs from the Springfield tornado that I finally found the time to post. It started out with 30 year old white vinyl siding that the insurance company wanted to repair and a roof replacement from being hit by the debris field and turned into a new looking home. The roof on the home was removed and replaced with 40 year CertainTeed Landmark Georgetown gray shingles with black drip edge and flashing’s. We installed the same shingles on the shed and a Higgins Steel Roofing Performance Panel in a galvalume finish on the detached garage. The homeowner decided it was time for new vinyl windows with the siding replacement. She chose Norandex Graphite Gray siding with white window wraps, fascia, soffit, and black gutters and downspouts. Congratulations to Liz for choosing Dependable Roofing and Siding! Your house looks amazing and It will catch my eye every time I drive by it. This is how we take a depressing situation like a tornado damaged home and turn it into a positive instead of a negative.
A roof we replaced in Springfield Ohio with CertainTeed Landmark Pro with black drip edge and flashings. We also used Omni Roll ridge vent. Looks great against the white siding and black shutters. Thanks to the homeowner for trusting Dependable Roofing!
New copper box Gutters framed and custom made of course and CertainTeed presidential TL‘s. This is about to look bad ass.
CertainTeed is the only manufacture that is UL Certified.
What does that mean?
The UL independent lab can enter any of our manufacturing plants at any time to run tests on our shingles to confirm they are up to UL approved standards.
They enter our plant 4 times a year if not more.
The UL team can grab any shingle off the manufacturing line and test the shingle at our onsite lab.
The difference: UL will call our competition and ask them to mail a bundle of shingle to their UL test lab.

I know we usually post exterior pics, but do you know how awesome it is to take a destroyed home after a tornado (rafters were the only thing left of the roof system and the ceilings all got destroyed from water) New everything and happy homeowner’s moving back into their home. Oh yeah, and this was all completed on and off in the course of three months. Thanks to our crew’s, you guy’s make me proud to work here and if you seen how excited the Customer’s are to get back into their home you would understand why I do this.
For the Month of July we will be offering free gutter guards with any shingle roof or siding replacement. Please call for a free estimate.
Saw this in Springfield today. Looks Mint, kids got a bright future in the industry.
Day two, 16 busted rafters, a wall or two and here you go a house again! Day three tomorrow, it’ll look like a house again. Detached garage and a small house done at the same time as a house in Springfield. 4 at once, see you Monday!
We invested 165 man hours on site plus went out the previous day to wrap our heads around it. We were able to in one very long day remove the old roof, pull the failing garage wall back in and fasten it to the rafters floating over the master bedroom, re-sheet the low slope roof, repair all tree damage to the roof, repair six busted rafters, repair multiple rafter tails, dry the house in with ice and water shield and synthetic paper. It would have surely been a total loss to the insurance company if found in the state it was in and now we meet an adjuster tomorrow to move forward with the repairs.
Thanks for being a top engager and making it on to my weekly engagement list! 🎉

This house doesn’t want to be condemned and I’m on the side of adversity every time! Day one, tomorrow will be a big day in saving the home.
Day one of many, but I’m not a fan of letting Mother Nature win.
I got a call yesterday from one of the owner’s of one of the largest roofing companies in Ohio I ever worked for 25 years ago to tell me thanks for my efforts and that in over 60 years of running the Company, I was the best roofer to have ever came through the company. If ever there was a verbal award to be proud of. JFC I almost fell out of my seat, but I was driving! Do I officially congratulate myself or do I further school you on how to do your job, now that I’m verbally officiated and all? 30 years on and many more to go, come at me cocky and let me know, did you invent the flashings you install today? Did you literally invent the rain diverter triangle and reverse 45 degree double hemmed caulk joint we did 25 years ago and get made fun of for doing what’s now industry standard to keep from grinding riglets into masonry, No, because I did!!! Bragging much, well hell yeah I am, being as roofer’s are loud mouths and I’m King S**t when it comes to my industry and being innovative. Just a ranting ignorant roofer that doesn’t know s**t!!!
We are in over our heads and unable to put a dent in this level of destruction. We will continue to try next week, but I’ve never in my life seen anything this devastating.
Getting these homes secured is barely the start. Day two emergency service work at Indian Lake after the tornado. After we left this area we went and dried in four more homes before tonight‘s rain rolled in. Nearly 30 roof’s dried-in in two days and I could not be prouder of my guys. This is a very humbling experience, and we have worked sunup to sundown for two straight days to do everything possible to help. They are opening some of the roads that were closed soon.
We did a lot today and didn’t dent the damage. 10 to 12 houses secured and going back tomorrow.
After tonight’s severe storm, tornado, and hail occurrence’s I would first and foremost hope everyone made it out safe. It’s looking like we have been dealt a heavy, heavy, hand of destruction from watching the news, but I have been fortunate and barely got anything. If you need our help, please call 937-323-8647 for the office or 937-206-9060 for my personal cell. We will have our crew’s out for the next several weeks trying to do everything we can to help. Please call if you need assistance!
We replaced the roof on the house and the garage in Springfield, Ohio with CertainTeed Landmark Moire Black shingles with black drip edge and flashing’s. Going from a tired 3 tab to a dimensional really brought out the mansard feature of the architecture. Thanks to the Homeowner’s for trusting Dependable!
How we started the day. We will tarp it tomorrow after building something to tarp.
A roof we replaced in Springfield, Ohio yesterday with a CertainTeed Landmark Max Def Driftwood shingle, bronze drip edge and flashing’s, installed Omni Roll Ridge vent to correct the moisture buildup in the attic that caused premature failure of the sheeting, and Shur Flo gutter guard to eliminate the cheap screen guard. The 10 year old roof was failing, because the previous roofer’s decided to reuse delaminated sheeting and did not correct the issue by installing any ventilation. 1200 square feet of the home had to have the sheeting removed and replaced before replacing the roof and adding the much needed ventilation. Thanks to the homeowner for trusting Dependable Roofing to properly evaluate and correct the issues prior to replacing the roof.
The best thing my Father ever did was to beat a strong dose of ethics and integrity into me. I didn’t understand at the time how valuable those are in life, but have come to respect the hell out of those life lessons as I work in an Industry full of lying and greed. Hiring a General Contractor is literally like being in a relationship. You are trusting someone with your most valuable possession’s to tell you the truth, be skilled at completing a task, and to make you proud of the space you spend most of your time in. It’s an honor for me to be given the opportunity by my customer’s for over 25 years and hear the opinions of people and what they say about me to my face and behind my back. A great reputation is very valuable in this business as most of my customers are from word of mouth and social media. I truly have almost killed myself doing roofing and home improvement’s, it’s been destructive on my body and my soul. To work through Covid truly affected me as I had so many unfortunate stories shared and had to witness how damaging it was on people mentally and spiritually. I’m glad it’s behind us and look forward to the next 25 year’s being bright and not dark! We need to stop accepting liar’s and hustler’s and greed as it’s going to destroy this Country. I have the ability daily to create the damage that Mother Nature hand’s me. We do a ton of Insurance work and I have the knowledge of getting no’s turned into Yes’s and working claims through. It’s an education that took me over twenty years in business before I would say that I truly am good at this. I have never created more damage than what I find when I arrive. I don’t have to be slimy as the wind creates plenty of damage. Have I told people that they have reparable damage’s and had them telling me to create some more? Absolutely I have, and I tell them I’m not your guy if that’s what you called me for and question why they would ever want to do business with someone willing to comit insurance fraud? I have to also deal with Insurance companies that have blatantly gotten near impossible to deal with, because of all of the crooked Contractors and it ways on my soul and my sister’s soul, who I also trained to sort out claim’s. It is, beyond frustrating to watch Insurance Companies tell my customer’s no on claims that use to be a no brainer and make me and my office process it through. The Insurance Claim’s process can take months and months and a few here and there will take a year. That’s a hell of a lot of unproductive time I wish I could have back to spend with my family, but it just keeps getting harder and harder, because of greedy and crooked Contractors and their is nothing I can do to combat that as new one’s pop up as quickly as the others go away. Generally speaking I make plenty of money doing home improvements and try to stay honest and humble. I bust my ass everyday hoping to be a role model to my sibling’s and my family, because it’s always been part of the equation for my son to run this business successfully and he has been by my side since he was old enough to walk, as I was my father’s. I have raised him to have honer, integrity, and skill, so he’s capable of running the business. I have in three decades witnessed many times over General Contractor’s get caught up being unethical and have seen them go to jail, or worse commit su***de to keep from serving their sentences. I will NOT set myself up for that. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m very Alpha and the thought of ever doing jail time is blatantly not in my future. I couldn’t deal with it and would be destroyed by the other Alpha’s we have locked in cages. NO THANK YOU!!! I will continue to run this company with honor and integrity as my Father raised me, hope my son Gary Noble chooses to do the same, and keep an eye on things to make sure he’s never swayed to be greedy or corrupt and that he’s continuing to add to the reputation we have worked so very hard to create! When the snow melts, we will undoubtedly have roofing and siding damage from last week’s wind storms. If you see storm damage on your home, please call Dependable Roofing and Siding and my phenomenal team will help you sort them out in a professional manner. If you have neighbor’s with damage’s share our information with them or share my post. Thanks for reading, peace, love, and happiness for everyone!
Finally found the time to get the trucks lettered up. Route 40 Signs has us looking great, I highly recommend them as always!
Oh yay! How the life of home improvement’s can be so excitingly unexpected sometimes. When you rip into 100 plus year old home’s you just never know what kind of day you’re having until you dig in. The four layer’s of asphalt and layer of wood shake were hiding a few secret’s. The home was not only steeper than a 12/12, but the addition was framed 2 inch’s out on the eave and 1.5 inch’s at the ridge to compensate for the thickness of the roofing layer’s. We went into the job knowing it had issues and rafter’s that needed repaired on the low slope portion of the roof, prior to installing .60 mil Carlisle TPO in grey, but the stager in the roofline was a total surprise. We removed the chimney to below the roof, Had Segrest HVAC install a proper stove pipe, framed out the stager, installed new OSB sheeting, Ice and Water and synthetic underlayment prior to installing CertainTeed Landmark Pewter grey shingle’s, black box vent’s, and new 5 inch continuous gutters in white. Thankfully, I have a phenomenal crew of guy’s that don’t let these types of things defeat us. Thanks Gentlemen for helping me make it right. Thanks to the homeowner for choosing Dependable Roofing to make this hornet’s nest into a proper roof again.
Before and Afters of a home we recently did in Springfield, Ohio. What started out as what the insurance company had determined to be repairable wind damage, took me and my office six months to turn into a full roofing and siding replacement of the house and garage for wind damage and then complete the repairs. To say the insurance claims process isn’t tiring would be an understatement! Not only am I proud of our capabilities every single day, but if not for our diligence the insurance companies would continue to walk on homeowners every with nonsense like this. This was not only a discontinued cinnamon frost shingle and obviously unavailable white aluminum siding, but we still had to put it through the process of turning it into a replacement claim. Damages like this used to be put through on day one by the Field adjusters. I absolutely love what we do every day, because of homeowners like Anna, who are grateful for us putting ourselves through what we do everyday and not allowing the insurance companies to walk on them and destroy their property values in the process of shortchanging a replacement claim and getting it repaired. The home and garage now have CertainTeed Landmark Moire Black shingles with black drip edge and flashing’s on the roof and Norandex siding in Steel Blue with white window wraps, fascia, soffit and gutters. The home looks amazing! Great customer to work with and I’m glad you chose Dependable Roofing with your most prized possessions. We truly do LOVE doing this everyday, even when the business of dealing with insurance companies can get us down. Hiring a General Contractor should be less like hiring a good Dr. or an Attorney, but it has. If you do not hire a competent General Contractor to work your claim through your no’s don’t get turned into yes’s! Thank you to our guys for doing an awesome job replacing Anna’s roofing and sliding!
