Take your dance skills to new heights with our exhilarating Leap and Turns class! Designed for beginner dancers, this class focuses on refining technique, enhancing flexibility, and mastering the art of leaps and turns. We're offering Leaps & Turns for ages 8-12 on Tuesdays and ages 10-14 on Friday!

We're so excited to be bringing Breakin' to the Dynamics Dance studio this fall. This class will be taught by our new instructor Pat. Pat's goal is to focus on helping his students build an evolving relationship with street dance by exploring the many histories of hip hop and the technique of individual styles. At Dynamics Dance, our tap classes are designed to teach tap technique, emphasizing balance, rhythm, musicality, and fine motor skills. Tap dance helps improve dancer's coordination and balance, while also building strength.

Last but not least, we would like to welcome Miss Aili to the Dynamics Team. Aili has been a dancer since the age of 5 and it has always been her greatest joy. She began competing at her studio at 13 years old. She also competed in show choir and her high school dance team in high school. After graduating from Webb City High School, she began teaching dance. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Material Physics with a dance minor from MSU. She feels lucky to have spent her entire dance career alongside her twin sister, even studying dance techniques in Paris together this summer. She will be adding some extra Friday classes to our schedule, so be sure to check them out!!

Cathy Patterson grew up dancing at The Institute of Performing Arts/Dance Factory in Topeka, KS. She graduated from University of Kansas with a degree in Human Biology and a concentration in dance. Cathy trained extensively in ballet, contemporary/lyrical, modern, jazz, and tap - training under professors Janet Hamburg and Scott Morro. She also spent time living in LA and studying under distinguished industry professionals such as Doug Caldwell and Sally Whalen. Cathy has performed with the Scott Morrow Dance Theatre, the LA based tap/hip hop company – Rhytmatix and worked commercially for The Fine Living Channel and HGTV. Cathy previously owned a 600-plus student dance studio that performed at the highest level in regional and national competitions. Cathy also is the owner artistic director of the Point B Dance Company as well as YPAD certified. Cathy is inspired by strong technique coupled with artistic choreography blending the athletic and artistic parts of dance.

We're jumping for joy because it is officially the first day of our fall semester! We cannot wait to see all of the new faces joining us as well as familiar faces from the summer. Meet Miss Emily! We're excited to welcome her to Dynamics and excited to offer more Friday afternoon classes. Emily started dancing at 2 years old. She also started performing in theatre in 8th grade. She graduated from Hollister High School and is now attending Missouri State for Business and Musical Theatre. You may see her at MSU football games this fall as she dances in the color guard. Check out her Friday classes and join us next week for our fall semester.
