Welcoming kids and adults of all ages and abilities, our program offers a clear progression track to monitor achievement while every lesson emphasizes personal safety around water. Whether you’re just starting out or want to improve your stroke technique, each instructor tailors lessons to fit the needs of of students in the class.

Swimming is a low-impact sport that works all your muscle groups and builds cardiovascular endurance. It also stretches and lengthens your body, improving your posture. The support of the water and the lack of joint impact make swimming a good choice for people who are unable to undertake high-impact activities.

Our lap swimming challenge is just the thing to keep you motivated! Swim at your own pace in the Pat Jones YMCA pool.

Simply keep track of the laps/meters you swim during each workout and record your mileage on the tracking sheet with all the participants progress. After each workout, have a lifeguard or other YMCA staff member sign your tracking form. a progress tracker with all participants will bee posted weekly.

Bragging rights when you complete your 100 miles!
