Position Summary:
Family-owned business in Springfield with 88 years of history. Custom manufacturing facility with the possibility of working four (4) business days a week.
The controller position will have significant impact on the strategy and planning of future growth and day to day operations. As a member of the leadership team, you will report to ownership and lead the accounting team and maximize efforts of the company.
What your responsibilities will be:
• Lead and direct financial operations which include AP, AR, and inventory control.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, financial planning and forecast and budget processes for both short-term and long-term business goals.
• Manage the full-cycle monthly accounting processes, including cash management, cost accounting, reconciliation, preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain / manage all sales, use, payroll, state, and federal taxes along with Workman’s Compensation reporting and other company related taxes.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and state laws and regulations related to accounting practices.
What you will bring:
• A strong personal value system that includes integrity, strong work ethic and customer-centric mindset
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or related fields, MBA or CPA is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 10 years Accounting/Finance experience within a large and complex environment, with 5 years in a finance leadership role; manufacturing organization a plus
• Comprehensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Strong communication skills, and business acumen to effectively inform and influence at all levels
• Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships, working collaboratively within your accounting team.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, delivering quality results
• Knowledge of Sage accounting software a plus and excel proficiency preferred.

Its a channel letter kinda day in our shop. Couple of different sets of letters almost completed prior to install!

This job is in the front receptionist area of the company. Multi-Phone line answering experience a must. This position does all of the accounts payable functions for the company. Experience with Mas 90 accounting softwarea plus.
