It was nine years ago that I started to build a bakery. First it was on a bike, and then with Sonya on Bridge St. It’s been a great ride. I am so glad so many people in and around Springfield discovered us. This past year has been a great one for the bakery. But it was also challenging personally for us. We are taking time off this winter to recover, repair and reassess. Details to follow. Please come by this week if you can. We’d love to see you.

Pastry, beignets, scrabble and on Saturday. We open at 8:00 and will hear until 7 PM. “Scrabble Day” drop-in is between 1-4. Bring a board if you have one.

The bookstore ( )and bakery () at 309 Bridge St. are open until 7:00 PM every Thursday Friday Saturday.

We are recovering today. But we are opening Saturday. , a pop up bookstore, is opening, inside Granny’s. Come check it out and support the dream of downtown bookstore.

Pastry and pie pick-up on Wednesday. We are going to bake all morning long. Lots of fabulous breakfast treats and T-day gifts. Really excited about this year’s pies. Grannys is looking good. See y’all tomorrow.

When we asked our customers what they wanted next door to us, the overwhelming favorite idea was a book store. Sadly a book store is not moving next door. Good news, it’s moving in house. We have invited Ramspringa books to set-up in our shop for the holidays. Ramspringa has a dream of opening a shop downtown. This bakery-book store pop-up is an opportunity to test Springfield’s appetite for a bookstore-cafe.

Big news!!!! We are a bookstore bakery!!!! Starting Saturday after Thanksgiving will operate out of . Rumspringa is a dream of Kate and Bret to bring a bookstore to downtown Springfield. Granny fans wanted a bookstore to move in on Bridge Street and they want us to be open longer. So, yeah…. That’s going happen between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will be open til 7:00 PM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You can buy books Wed-Sat.

Hey Folks, we are a bit short staffed and super busy with Thanksgiving prep. We won’t be serving lunch sandwiches until after Thanksgiving. Sorry for any inconveniences.

We are sending out the year in style. One more day to order thanksgiving pie. We will be open the Saturday after Thanksgiving (shop local Saturday) for the first time ever! And the following Saturday we are hosting a scrabble event. And there is more to come….

So, back in April, I had a health scare ( ER level health scare). It took five months to figure it all out. It’s a complicated tale. Long story short, I’m fine. I wear this respirator to reduce breathing in flour dust as a precaution.

Saturday’s are soo special at Granny’s. Cardamom buns, Fresh beignets, kouign amonn, meltaways and sooo much more. Great coffee too. Hang out or take out, Granny’s helps you spread the joy.

There is a cute little artisan bakery in the center of Springfield.
People ask us why aren’t we in Northampton or Longmeadow. It’s Simple. We’re from Springfield. Live here. Raised our kids here. Went to school here. This is our City. We’re your bakery.
We call ourselves Granny’s ‘cause the grub is old school. One big table, no wifi; good coffee, great pastry, awesome conversation.
We open at 8:00 on Saturday. We close by noon or when we sell out.

Wow, what an honor! This is a real community award! And also what fun. The family had a French toast off with challah from local bakeries. And Deb brought us a certificate. Gotta love our Granny Fans.

Just a thought, if Granny fans got together would they call themselves a Granny’s F***y Pack?
