THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
To everyone who came out to St Pauls and St Johns Community Night Out Picnic! It was a huge turnout, the weather was perfect, and we couldn’t be happier!
I would especially like to thank those who helped in any way, organizing, promoting, donating, preparing, serving, running things around, grilling, entertainment, clean up, and anything else I am missing. We couldn’t have done it without you!

The picture below is of our Apple Tree after a severe storm. The root system is vital part of any tree. If the roots are damaged, the Tree will certainly not thrive and possibly die. Our Spiritual life is our root system. It helps us to thrive even in the midst of the storms of life. Come this Sunday to discover how to nurture and tend to our root system. Sermon Title: Rooted
See some great drone footage from our roof repairs!
What comes to mind when you hear the phrase, "This Holy House"? You might think of Saint Paul's Springfield or maybe one of the great Cathedrals around the world. The New Testament has a very different understanding about that Phrase. Sermon Title -- This Holy House.
God doesn’t need our praises. He delights in them. He revels in them but he doesn’t need them. We however need to praise God. If we are going to live our full life in Christ we need to praise God. Sermon Title: The Power of Praise
Our roof is getting new shingles from the hailstorm last fall. Quite a sight seeing the workers up there.

Today St. Paul’s Lutheran and St John’s Lutheran and other community members had the privilege of volunteering at Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen! It was an incredibly humbling experience!
We packed rice meals for Cambodia and Colombia, providing 76,248 nourishing meals that will feed 208 children for an entire year.
If you ever get the chance to volunteer for this remarkable organization, seize it! It was truly an uplifting experience that filled our hearts with joy and purpose.
The picture below is of one of the most fertile places in the world — Galilee. Jesus often used agricultural imagery. His desire that we develop that attitude of the farmer when it comes to our faith life. Sermon Title — A Farmer’s Wisdom.

How would you describe the perfect family? The very best families have a good mix of freedom and accountability. In a loving family, you are free to be who you really are, with no hiding or pretending. The very best families also challenge each other to be the very best version of themself. In the family of God, we are free in Christ and accountable to one another.
Tuesdays in the Chapel at 6:00 pm!
Summer is a time of rest and relaxation for many of us. We spend Weekends at the lake, go on family vacations, or take some time on the deck. Would it surprise you to know that God wants us to rest? It’s different from the hustle and bustle of a family vacation or doing a different set of chores. You do home chores at home, and at the lake, you often do cabin chores. It is a deep, refreshing rest. Sermon Title: Give it a Rest. Sunday at 9:00 AM or Tuesday in the Chapel at 6:00 PM
Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp is celebrating their 100th anniversary this summer! Check out their brochure cover with our very own Miss Lydia!

The inscription below is in Koine Greek. Have you heard the phrase, "It's Greek to me?" It is usually said when what the speaker has said makes no sense to the listener. The proclamation at Pentecost is that God's message is not some foreign language that we can't understand but is made clear to anyone who will listen—the sermon title this week—Clarity
We sometimes treat our faith as spiritual Insurance, something we turn to only in times of crisis. Faith is not so much Insurance as assurance. Our faith can give us the assurance to live life with courage. Sermon Title: Assurance, not Insurance. Join us for worship as we thank our Moms and celebrate our graduates.

The Twenty-thrid Psalm is the most often used Scripture text for Memorial services. Yet this Psalm promises are as much for all of life as the end of life. It defines what Jesus means when he says, I am the Good Shepherd. Sermon Title -- Our Good Shepherd for Life!
Do you sometimes have difficulty recognizing God's presence in your life? You are not alone. Even Jesus' closest disciples did not recognize Jesus even when he was walking right next to them. This Sunday, we will look at ways to shift our perspective and realize Jesus is present in our lives—Sermon Title — Beyond Ignorance.
Thomas in the Gospels gets a bum rap. He is not more doubting than the rest of the disciples. The other ten disciples were locked behind closed doors out of fear. Thomas was the only brave one in the bunch. However, Thomas was rather cynical. This Sunday's Sermon is "Beyond Cynicism."
