We are looking for a qualified individual who will be responsible for the following duties. Please bear in mind that this is not a comprehensive list, but rather a synopsis of what you will be responsible for.

Responsibilities:

- Communicate professionally in English
- Conduct oneself professionally at all times
- Attending marketing meetings and or engage in outside sales
- Clock in and out with accuracy
- Check emails, Slack and texts frequently
- Maintain Communication with Crews, Customers, Project Managers and Upper Management
- Submit DOT mileage logs from walkthroughs
- Answer company phones
- Generate estimates and invoices with accuracy
- Ensure correct number of packaging supplies on estimates
- Inventory and inventory purchasing management
- Receive customer payments
- Receive and address customer complaints
- Generate BOL and fill out to completion
- Schedule moves for customers
- Book and coordinate lodging for movers
- Plot and coordinate routes for movers
- Communicate with Dispatch on move dates
- Update move dates on employee schedule and calendar
- File paperwork and BOLs appropriately
- Misc clerical duties
- Stand-in on moves if needed
- Fluent communication with all departments on Customer Service Needs
- Reach goals set by Company
- Assist with training on new employees
- Deliver moving supplies as needed

Qualifications:

- Strong computer skills
- Exemplary communication skills
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to team lift 100+ pounds
- Valid driver's license.
- Upgrade to a Class E Driver's license within one month of employment
- Acquire a medical DOT card within one month of employment
- Ability to cooperate with a team
- Strong work ethic
- Submit to a background check and drug screen

About the job:

- Great pay! Base pay of $40,000/year plus the ability to earn up to an additional $10,000 based on close rates, sales numbers and other metrics

We are seeking a Class E Driver/Mover to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a Straight Truck (Box Truck)
- Load and unload cargo, furniture, boxes, miscellaneous items
- Properly utilize ELD (Electronic Logging Device)
- Report any issues or incidents to management
- Inspect truck before and after trip
- Provide customer service
- Communicate professionally in English
- Perform walk-throughs with customers
- Manage and delegate tasks to movers/crew mates

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in truck driving preferred but not required
- Class E Driver's License preferred but not required
- Medical Card preferred but not required
- Ability to handle physical workload - lifting 100+ lbs. by yourself will not be uncommon
- Strong work ethic
- Submit to a background check and drug screen
- Must be motivated, this is a difficult job
- General labor experience is a plus

We posted about a week ago that we were going to be putting together something to help Missouri State Trooper Colton Beck and his family after his line of duty shooting on December 11th. We are extremely thankful that Trooper Beck survived his injuries but his life will forever be altered and our hearts, prayers, thoughts and efforts go out to him and his family. We know that there are already many different sources coming together to help him and his family and all of us at The Moving Company, LLC, family, friends, as well as many of our business owner friends, want to do something as well.

After much discussion, we felt compiling as many gift cards to area eateries, as well as, Visa or other gift cards, would be a purposeful way to help them navigate the next few weeks and months. We imagine during this time and the foreseeable future that things will be extremely chaotic and this will be one way we can assist the Beck family. We already have several area businesses that have donated gift cards to their establishments and we will be contacting even more in the coming days. We want to pour out a giant blessing on the Beck's and we want to open this opportunity to anyone that wants to participate.

Over the next two weeks we will be accepting any gift card donations at The Moving Company at 5133 S. Campbell Ave, Suite 202 (the upstairs unit with the American Flag on all of our windows), Springfield, MO 65810. You can stop in Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during this time with your donations. We will then take all of these donations and personally deliver them to the family on everyone's behalf.
