Hey ladies and gents! it’s with a heavy heart that I write this message. Unfortunately, we will be closing up shop on December 31. That will be our last day at Springfield town Center. This is due to a severe reduction in foot traffic, inflation in costs of goods sold, poor mall management, and other socio economic factors. We tried our absolute best to remain open, but it’s been especially hard since the pandemic, it was as if we had to rebuild the business from scratch. The food business especially, niche food requires volume. The price point is such that you must have a high number of transactions to make any type of revenue. The margins are much lower in food while we still have most of the same expenses say a clothing retailer has. Clothing retailers have a higher price point & a product that doesn’t expire, all the while paying the same for rent and payroll as a food retailer does. We are working on a different strategy for 2024 and looking at our options. We are Tentatively aiming for February/march of 2024 (we will not have a brick and mortar as of yet) will be continuing our nationwide shipping, potentially doing some pick up and delivery in DC and weekend deliveries here in the Kingstowne/ Springfield area. Please stay tuned we will let everyone know via Instagram & our website. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone who has supported us from day one! We couldn’t have done it without you! I also want to thank my staff, I was/am really lucky to have had some great employees over the years! I’ve also met some amazing people, from customers, to employees, to fellow small business owners.💕 We invite everyone to come by and support one last time this weekend! Our last day will Sunday 12/31/23. We will be open until 5pm. Committed, reliable, energetic team member who loves dessert interested in a part time job, making and serving yummy desserts. Takes initiative, doesn’t need to be micromanaged, strong customer service skills. Must be out of HS and local. Part time availability looking for evening weekdays and weekend availability. Minimum 1 year work experience required, food service preferred. Hourly plus tips. Tips are any where from $100-$275 additional on top of hourly per paycheck (biweekly).
