Wild Goose Little Library

Thank you to all of you who have made the Wild Goose Library so special! The new house owners will continue to keep it up, and please continue to add to the library! We will miss you all!

We stuck a few cool things in the little library tonight! Hope whoever gets them has fun! :)

For those of you who may have not yet seen the sign, our beautiful home will be going up for sale this weekend. It includes the little free library (if the buyer wants to be the steward). If not- there are some other plans in the works just in case 🙂

But if you know of someone who needs a hole that is full of joy, please send them our way!

TODAY is a BIG day for the library!!! GAMES! PUZZLES! CRAFTS! SEWING PATTERNS! BOOKS! Wrapping paper, furniture, so many different things! Come back often as more and more will be put out! We are moving so come grab the things you love! I am also putting out things from my classroom library! I should have things outside by 8:30ish!!!!

Well- it is time for the bittersweet post… Carl is being promoted so we will be moving and selling our house. When it goes up for sale, if the new buyers want to keep the library, then we will leave it for them to continue servicing. ❤️ As soon as we know- we will let you all know! In the meantime, we will be having some great outdoor days with things to help everyone share in the summer fun, and give us all fun things to do inside to stay cool!

Puzzles and some art supplies are out and ready for a home! When you are done with the puzzle- please share it with another person who may love it! 🙂 We will also be putting more books out as more are grabbed from the library today. :)

We have had an empty library for a week as we get it all cleaned and fix up the tiny leak in the roof. NEW BOOKS AND PUZZLES ARE IN!!!! We had an amazing donation of kid books and puzzles for all that we have added that include some new books I recently purchased that I thought were great reads! Come grab what you want so I can fill it with more goodies! 😍😍😍

Happy Summer Wild Goose Library Friends! We are back open! There was some major damage done to the library (many of you saw and asked about the big black covering on the library). Either the door had been ripped off by wind, or it was vandalized. I believe it was the latter as the plexiglass was smashed to many pieces.

Thank you to John Koenig and Carl Bobis for making a new door and getting us up and running again! Please come by for books and puzzles! The library will be refreshed this weekend :) See you soon!

Lots of books, ready for a great read!

I am challenging myself to read 52 books this year. Do you have a book goal? Book 1 for me is in the comments- share a pic of what you are reading!

By 4pm the library will be fully stocked with new adult and kids books- AND come up to the front door to come grab some puzzles and games to play! Over the next few days we should be seeing some freezing rain and possible snow... so come on over and prep!

New Years resolutions are usually for things that we may not enjoy- but I am going to do something I love... read. It doesn’t matter what I read- I just want to read. Who wants to join me? You pick your OWN goal for next year, and let’s all track it with a weekly accountability post together! Who is in?

Happy Saturday Library family! We have been quiet and not touching the library for a few weeks because I was diagnosed with covid. I am still not quite right, but hopefully past the worst part of it. We have had a local friend checking and spraying the library for us- so please know it is safe to use. 🙂
In the meantime- bring your Christmas letters and drop them in the North Pole post! Santa loves our library and swings by often for a good read! Santa can not promise a letter back as he is super busy, but when you come- stay for the lights and music show from 5:30pm-8pm each night!

This Tuesday, I am going to be live with another teacher from Hazelwood School District (where I teach) providing a Halloween craft with Parent University! I would love if you could come attend - it is FREE and ONLINE! Everything you need, you most likely have at home! You need - a paper plate, toilet paper, black marker or crayon, tape or glue. You can also have extra paper with and a string if you really want it. :)

Something's "cookin" at the Wild Goose Library - Stop by tomorrow to see what is NEW! Library is emptied and cleaned... now full of - COOK BOOKS! Fondue! Grilling! Crock Pot! Appetizers! Desserts! (A bunch are mine, but some are from amazing donations from all of you!)

I also put some new kid books in (as many as I can fit)- but this is a great time to cook with our little ones! It is science, math, and reading all in one!

Changing it up today!!! Do you like to draw? Do you like comics? Come on over and take a look! How to draw books, foxtrot, Calvin & Hobbes, and mad magazine (not ok for littles!!!!) tons of single issues of MAD that someone dropped off. If you have comics you want to add please feel free to set them in there! We will have a drawing/comic theme until Sunday night!

Saturday Aug 1st from 10am -1pm we will have our tables with tons of books, games, and puzzles to take home and use! Please come by to check them out and say hi from a distance!!!

The boys are also having a little lemonade stand- they made a business plan, spent their money for supplies, and are making the lemonade from scratch! There will also be add ins like strawberries, fresh mint, fresh, basil, and blueberries! 50 cents a cup!
