Our Go Green Salon team participated in a Zenagen certification class so we can continue providing the highest quality product lines for our guests. Zenagen is inclusive of all hair types & textures, designed to tackle hair loss issues that anyone could be experiencing.

Inside of our Wellness Center is Go Green Salon, a full-service, environmentally friendly establishment dedicated to providing the highest quality services and natural product lines available. They are a separate business which offers haircut services for those donating hair to Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan for a fee. 50% goes toward making the hair into wigs and the other 50% is given to the stylist for their professional service behind the chair. On Memorial Day, Go Green Salon reflects on all of the courageous individuals who have served & protected our country. Their sacrifices do not go unnoticed and we are grateful for our freedom.

Go Green Salon honors & remembers those who have served our country during this Memorial Day weekend. We will be closed in observance of the holiday, reopening Wednesday, May 29th to offer our professional beauty services to meet your needs. Be safe and spend this time with family & friends.

Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan and Go Green Salon are a great example of two businesses under one roof that support each other. Maggie has been servicing adult patients for over 35 years. At Go Green Salon, a special private room has been allocated for adult patients to have wig consultations & fittings. Often, gently used or new wigs are donated and the Go Green cosmetologists & hair restoration specialists refurbish & repurpose them for adult patients who may not be able to afford a custom wig. For these donated wigs, Go Green asks for a contribution to Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan.

For guests looking to purchase a new ready-to-wear or custom-made wig, these are available at Go Green Salon for a cost. Half the proceeds are donated back to Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan and the other 50% pays for the professional services provided including the consultation, removal of hair if necessary, cutting, styling & fitting of the wig, and wig maintenance kit. Go Green Salon enjoyed participating in the Spring Career Fair at Douglas J Aveda Institute in Royal Oak with our charity of choice Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan, Inc as we sought to hire beauty professionals. Time for an upgrade in the hair restoration training space at Go Green Salon located inside our Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan Wellness Center. Two new modern chandeliers were installed for better lighting and to provide a sense of calm ambiance in this space where licensed cosmetologists style wigs for the children we serve. We love it! Go Green Salon was honored to participate in the Cuts 4 a Cause hair restoration training and certification program held inside the Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan, Inc Wellness Center. Licensed cosmetologists learned how to provide wigs & services to children and adults in need. Special thanks to Paul Mitchell The School Michigan and The Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation for providing scholarships so beauty professionals could attend and build their skill sets. We also thank Scott, President of Shear Pointe Hair Restoration for being our guest artist.

Go Green Salon located inside Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan, Inc is participating in the annual Cuts 4 a Cause hair restoration training & certification program on Monday, October 9, 2023. Sponsored by the Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation and Paul Mitchell The School Michigan, licensed cosmetologists are able to learn how to provide wigs & hair restoration services to the children of Michigan. There are new students and several returning graduates who will be adding updates to their skill set. That's a bonus of taking this certification program: graduates are always welcome back to future sessions.

Our team at Go Green Salon participated in an educational class on the new color line we are carrying called EVO Hueverse. It has no fumes, is green & safe. It started in Australia and now comes out of Italy. It has more pigment & deposit so your color lasts longer and has less fading. The line has both permanent and demi-permanent options to choose from and each provides an enormous level of shine!
