**Volleyball Coach Opening**

We are currently seeking a second JV volleyball coach. With Fall registration now closed we had tremendous interest in our Volleyball program at the JV level and as a result we need to split JV into two teams. So we are currently seeking someone who is willing to step up and coach our JV2 team which will consist entirely of 5th graders. Our annual Summer Football Camp wrapped up this week. We had over 50 athletes from Kindergarten through 8th grade attend this year! A big thanks to Coach Rick Buckman as well as all the other coaches and SIJ Alumni who volunteered their time to help make this camp fun and a great success again! Just a quick reminder that this week is the FINAL week to register for Fall Sports as SIJ. The deadline is Sunday at midnight so please make sure to sign up ASAP if you haven’t already. **DEADLINES APPROACHING**

Our Varsity Boys lost a close one tonight 2-1 in extra innings. But as our students and athletes are taught throughout their time at SIJ, a Charger knows that it’s about more than just winning. Thank you to our 8th graders, our coaches, and Congratulations on another great season boys!!

Our Varsity Boys won 5-1 last night and will play in the 2nd round of the playoffs Thursday at 5:30 at Balduck Park in Detroit against St. Paul. Go get ‘em boys!!

**VARSITY BOYS PLAYOFF UPDATE**
The Varsity Boys Baseball team has made the playoffs for the second year in a row!! Their final regular season games tonight against St. Anne have been cancelled but they will open the playoffs on the road Monday night at Our Lady of Lakes at 5:00! So grab your camping chairs and get to Waterford Township if you can and let's cheer them on. GO CHARGERS!!

Missing football already? Well here is some Charger Football info for you. We will once again be hosting our annual football camp in July. Also, we are already planning for our Fall 2024 season and need your help if your child is interested and / or intends to play Flag, Freshman, JV, or Varsity. See the attached flyers for both.

Tuesday night we held our annual Varsity Sports Banquet where we presented awards to our all of our athletes that competed at the Varsity level this year. We also announced our two Spring Scholar Athletes, Lucas Szymanski and Alivia Prasnjak, as well as the winners of the annual Archie Awards, Leah Poggiolo and Lucas Szymanski. Congratulations again to Alivia, Leah, and Lucas, thank you to all of our 2023-24 Varsity players, and God Bless, good luck, and best wishes to all of our 8th graders as they move onto high school next year.
