This event supplied all of the gear necessary for 10 veterans who have never salmon fished, to learn and catch Chinook (King) Salmon! Many fish were caught!

Outdoor activities has been proven to help with the mental health of veterans and help reduce veteran su***de.

As we enter the holiday season we want to remind everyone the importance of safety!
Here are 5 tips to help keep you safe while decorating!

1. While putting lights on houses or trees, make sure you inspect light stands for exposed wires that may start a fire!

2. Use the right ladder for the right job! Ladders should be tall enough without you having to stretch. Remember, the top on top rung of a step ladder are not designed to be stepped on!

3. Be careful where you put your ladder! Make sure it is placed on solid surfaces free of ice and debris!

4. Watch the weather! Don’t decorate in bad weather that might allow ice to build up while you work!

5. Always use a Ground Fault Circuit Interruptor for outdoor decorations to prevent fire and electric shock!

Remember, Nobody wants to enjoy the holidays from the hospital!! Happy holidays from all of us here at PROficient!!!
