Missouri Entrepreneur Sarah Brown recently opened Beauty Trap, Columbia’s first Black-owned beauty supply store, located at 3200 Penn Ter. Ste. 121. Brown is looking to be a part of the change bringing more Black representation to the global industry.

The store sells hair, skin and other cosmetic products. It is one of two beauty supply stores currently open in Columbia.

As we prepare for this weekend’s events, we want to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone. Officers with the Florissant Police Department will be stationed at the Duchesne Home Association Grounds, working to keep the atmosphere safe and secure for everyone.

Hours of Operation are:

Thursday, May 2 Gates open at 4:00 p.m.; Gates close at 8:00 p.m. and Festival Grounds close at 9:00 p.m.

Friday, May 3 Gates open at 4:00 p.m. Gates close at 7:00 p.m. and Festival Grounds close at 8:00 p.m.

Saturday May 4 Gates open at 12:00 p.m. Gates close at 7:00 p.m. and Festival Grounds close at 8:00 p.m.

Sunday May 5 Gates open at 12:00 p.m. Gates close at 6:00 p.m. and Festival Grounds close at 7:00 p.m.

To maintain an enjoyable environment for all, the Knights Council 2951 has established some essential guidelines for the event. Please take note of the following rules:

🚫 NO FI****MS OR WEAPONS allowed on the premises.
🚫 NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 will be permitted on the Knights of Columbus grounds without a parent, legal guardian, or adult companion. Unaccompanied minors will not be admitted.
🚫 No bikes, skateboards, or scooters are allowed within the event area.
🚫 Outside food, drink, or coolers are not permitted.
🚫 Only service animals are allowed; please leave pets at home.
