We'd like to say congratulations to our amazing bricklayer foreman Aaron F. Forck! After 20 years (almost to the day) of working for John J. Smith Masonry, Aaron is moving on to an opportunity to work for the Bricklayer Union.

Aaron was a key leader for our Columbia/Jefferson City team of bricklayers and laborers, and we are very grateful to have had him work on, and be in charge of, such wonderful projects such as his first project Mizzou Brewer Field House, to the incredibly large and complicated Fulton State Hospital (with over 1.1 million cmu units) and now finishing up his time leading his crew on his last project of American Foods Group.

Aaron's expertise and leadership will surely be missed by everyone from his crew, to our office staff, to the general contractors he worked with over the years. Everyone could count on him to manage the job well and make sure it was done right and with the high quality and safety people have come to expect from John J. Smith Masonry. You truly are a great representative of our company!

Here's to much luck on your new endeavor! Don't be a stranger!

Wrapping up one last item on the Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis with some brick piers in the common family space. As sponsors of RMHC, the piers give a nod to the St. Louis Cardinals using the same red brick as the stadium and Rawlings Sporting Goods baseball bats at the base. What a lovely space for families to gather and spend time together ❤️⚾️

John J. Smith Masonry would like to introduce the newest member to our office staff - Lisa Bamvakais - Accounts Receivable Specialist.

"I was born and raised in St. Louis. I am married with 2 children and a bonus child (my niece who lives with us). We have 4 dogs and 1 cat. When I am not working, I spend all my time with my family. In the summertime you will find us in the pool as much as possible. I also enjoy going to the movies as well as quiet nights at home with a book. I am so happy to be a part of the team here at John J. Smith Masonry and look forward to a long career here."

We hope you and your family will join us for our Annual Member Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 18, from 11am-3pm at the ADC Hall in Fenton, Missouri.
