On a sweltering South St. Louis rooftop in the summer of 1983, four friends with passionate opinions and no opportunities watch life pass them by the night before Sally Ride becomes the first American woman astronaut in space.

Written by STL-native Liza Birkenmeier and serving as the debut production for the all-new Great Unwashed Theater Company (STL), "...Beach House" was originally commissioned by Ars Nova (NYC), became a New York Times Critics Pick, and was a finalist for the 2019 Lambda Literary Award.

Dr. Ride's American Beach House will be playing at Greenfinch for ONE WEEKEND ONLY January 18-20. Tickets are pay-what-you-can and available at greenfinchstl.com/tickets.

THIS WEEKEND! It’s the family reunion no one asked for. Set in America’s heartland, Sam Shepard’s powerful Pulitzer Prize-winning play BURIED CHILD details, with shocking hilarity, the disintegration of the American Dream. Debut Theater Company will be donating all profits from this performance to Siteman Cancer Center as part of their “Acting Against Cancer” mission.
