Rickey's fascination with the wind's movement is especially evident in his Four W's sculpture. He explored the ways in which motion from wind currents could collaborate with the parts of his sculptures. The simple and geometric steel parts always stay the same but the way the sculpture gracefully engages with elements of the natural world is always changing depending on the shimmering sunlight and wind currents.
