God has brought together a joyful, diverse, loving group of people that acts like family and makes up Saint Trinity Lutheran Church. Usually gathering on the campus at the corner of Vermont Ave and Koeln Ave in South St. Louis, this community of people works hard to serve our neighbors and neighborhood, grow as followers of Jesus and join to joyfully worship and praise God. We focus on the good ne

Thank You! Commitments have been received to replace the refrigeration unit on the walk-in cooler at the Saint Trinity/St. Stephen's Food Pantry. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HELP IN LOVING OUR NEIGHBORS.
The outpouring has been so overwhelming that we are going to try and "FILL THE COOLER!" and "KEEP IT PLUGGED IN AND RUNNING" for the next few months.
Currently, more that 150 families and 700 people are being served each month with food assistance. All the costs of operating add up to more than $5000 each month. Your financial gifts make a huge difference in making this happen but if you live locally you can care for your neighbors in other ways. 1) host a food drive with your family, job, church or organization. 2) Volunteer one time or more regularly. 3) Spread the Word to others.
Again, thanks for you support. You can make a tax-deductible gift here: https://shorturl.at/oKJPq

What does Pastor Dave's dog have to do with your life of faith. You can find out in this weekend's message based on Romans 8:1-11.
The Holy Spirit Gives Life Pastor Dave shares a message on Romans 8:1-11 that gives the Good News that the Holy Spirit gives new life to all people who were dead in their sins, that includes you and me.
We need your help to effectively serve hundreds of our neighbors in South St. Louis. Your gifts will help get the Saint Trinity Food Pantry back cooling things down. You can give here: https://shorturl.at/oKJPq
Hey there local friends in St. Louis! Want to pour love, encouragement, life, light and hope into some amazing kids? If so, give me a call! You will love these young people so much!
Do you love to encourage and help kids thrive? We are looking to add to our team that does just that at our Homework Help program( Monday and Wednesdays, during the school year from 3:30-5:30). We are looking to add folks who are willing to sit with an elementary student and help them with homework, recreation/ organized games leaders and drivers who will help with transporting kids from school to Saint Trinity. If you are interested in volunteering with us please DM us or give us a call in the church office.

Thanks for making this possible.
Your gifts and support make this happen:
For most of us getting our of the city for a day out in the open isn't hard to do. But for a lot of the kids we work with it is a big deal to hike in the woods, wade in the creek, canoe in the pond, or to chase a butterfly in the field. That's why we've been committed to helping "city kids" get a taste of the country and we are grateful to our partner Camp Wartburg in Wartburg, IL for helping make it happen.
This year SEVEN Saint Trinity kids got to go to a week of day camp and each Wednesday evening in summer a van load of kids makes the trip for games, crafts, capture the flag, campfires, marsh mellows and of course Jesus time. The excitement and happiness on the ride home with a bunch of hot sweaty middle schooler's make it all worth it.
Camp Wartburg is generous in making camp possible but there are still additional costs. If you would like to help keep sending city kids to the country your gift to helps it happen. You can do that here: https://sttrinity.breezechms.com/give/online . Chose "designated gift" from the drop down or write CAMP in the notes. Thanks for making a difference in the life of a young person.
Are you worn out from fighting a spiritual battle? Jesus has a promise for you. Pastor Dave shared what that promise is today in his message at Saint Trinity.
Fighting the Battle . . .and winning. Do you ever feel like you are in a spiritual battle that you lose more often than win? You are in a spiritual battle but Jesus promises ultimate victory. But what about in the in-between time? ls there any hope for every day skirmishes with evil? Jesus says that because of the Holy Spirit there is.....
“Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.” Hebrews 13:7
This is the verse that came up in my devotion today. Along with the dreary day outside, and the news that a dear friend “Hank” (Henrietta) Kieschnick had gone home to be with the Lord, it made me sink into the corners of my memory to think of so many people who have taught, and demonstrated and lived out the Word of God in my life and how empty and different I would be without them. I stated scribbling names and no doubt missed dozens more. Mom and Dad, Hal and Hank, Uncle Tom, Ron, Mr. Palisch, Henry, Gary and Orv and on and on I could go.
Although we sometimes feel it so, we do not live out our lives of faith in isolation from those who have gone before us and I’m grateful and praise God that so many who have gone before me lived their lives trusting Jesus and his mercy in good days and bad, in accomplishment and failure, in giving themselves to others so they would see Jesus too.
Perhaps today you would like to spend a few moments to ““Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God.” It will probably be a reminder of how blessed you are.
Taking our wonderful group of middle school students to Camp this morning I was asked this question: If two vegans have an argument, can it really be a beef? 😆 Oh and they shared guava-flavored candy with each other! Such a great time! Love our partnership with Camp Wartburg, which is making this week possible!
We thank God for all our partner's in ministry who help us love our neighbors. These youth, from Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church in St. Peter's, Missouri, helped to collect, deliver and store donations of non-perishable goods as a serving project during their Vacation Bible School. These young people are wonderful!
Behind the scenes today at Saint Trinity. Food Pantry volunteers in full swing helping meet the food needs of twenty families this week. Can you help us serve as many as 200 families per month to meet supplemental food needs? The shelves are showing the summer slump. You can help with personal, company or organizational food drive. Your financial gifts make a huge difference in filling the gaps. You may give here by choosing the "Give to Food Pantry" drop down menu. https://sttrinity.breezechms.com/give/online
We love these young people so much! Jesus loves them infinitely more!
We had a great time at Vacation Bible School last week. Thanks to our friends from , Cornerstone Lutheran Church Fishers Indiana for helping our kids experience the love of Jesus.
Yesterday, Pastor Dave began a new series of messages, "Powerful. Present. God." by exploring the Gift of God's Holy Spirit. Today, we see what happens when Jesus starts to pass on his Spirit to the disciples. The same thing happens to us. https://boxcast.tv/highlights/this-weekends-worship-at-saint-trinity-june-9-2024-w4vqpbzbqqvljolw9ltz/n8hpzsrvvsz0fdjzg1ph/xrr4eqojdrhalokxkank

Yesterday at Saint Trinity we have a massive Pentecost celebration of all nations. Joyful worship, guest speaker, Dr. Stanish Stanley from Christian Friends of New Americans, Kunama music (and some dancing too), food from multiple nations and people from many countries. We joined to celebrate what God is doing to grow a church that looks more and more like heaven every day. But best of all was God's Holy Spirit was present just like He always is when his people gather around his Word. Come visit sometime and see what God's up too. We'd love to have you be a part of the mission. The Missouri District LCMS
