We have teamed up with the creative mind and amazing host of Tamm Story Slamm, Anthony Howell to bring you "What's Your Story" - an event were you get to muse about your life experiences and share a piece of your story with the world, as well as learn about your friends and neighbors.

Next week we'd like to hear stories centered around the theme of "Melting".
Anthony explains...
"Explore a story centered around the theme of "melting", focusing on how it represents transformation and loss. Think of characters or objects that undergo a change from solid to liquid, symbolizing the impermanence of life, the erosion of relationships, or the gradual shift in personal identity.
How did these changes impact you or the people involved? And what do they learn about themselves and the world as a result?"

Sign ups will begin at 6pm. Story time at 7pm.
The event will be hosted on the patio weather permitting.

On June 19, 1865, Major General Gordon Granger of the Union army announced in Galveston Bay, Texas, that by executive order, all enslaved Black people in the state were to be freed. This day, now known as Juneteenth, became a federally recognized national holiday in 2021 and marks a celebration of freedom for African Americans.

Today we wish you a wonderful holiday and will honor Juneteenth by giving back to ArchCity Defenders - an organization in our city that helps further the causes of social justice.

“ArchCity Defenders (ACD) is a holistic legal advocacy organization that combats the criminalization of poverty and state violence, especially in communities of color. ACD’s foundation of civil and criminal legal representation, social services, impact litigation, policy and media advocacy, and community collaboration achieves and inspires justice and equitable outcomes for people throughout the St. Louis region and beyond.”
