U Can Dance Studio St. Louis, MO USA

Now should you be going to the St. Louis Art Fair this coming weekend we would like you to know When & Where we will be performing. It's real easy since there is only one Performing Arts Stage. It is on Forsyth Blvd close to Bemiston Ave. The day will be Saturday and the time is 1:45 to 2:45 PM.

There will be multiple dance routines from adults & our children's group as well. We had a fun time in 2022 and we are looking forward to beautiful weather as well. Check out the events for the stage in the picture below.

Thank you to our hosts at the 2024 Rollin on the River Dance convention for the invite to their event. It was a disco type theme this year so we dressed the part.

Always a fun time dancing for this group. Nothing like performing for a group of dancers!

It has been a hot minute or 2 since our last post. The Labor Day Weekend is upon us. Do have a pleasant & safe one. Now, Our formation dancers are going to be quite busy. We have back to back performances for 2 ticketed events that we have been invited to. One is brand new for our group.

You may have heard of the Big River Steampunk festival. We will be there on Sunday evening to present the opening number for their Circus & Fashion Show. The other event is on Saturday Night for the Rollin' on the River Dance Convention. We always have a great time dancing for our fellow dancers.

So come next Wednesday night advanced group class @ 7PM we will probably be starting something different as we are going to be heading to a dance competition in Iowa this coming November. What to join in the fun? Stop on by the studio and say hello. Stick your foot in and have some fun with us.

Our dance studio and our students are going to be involved in at least 2 performances over the Labor Day weekend and one more the following weekend.

We are always setting goals for the studio and our student dancers. We perform formation routines as well as solos. Our formation routines for the upcoming Rollin' on the River Dance Convention as well as the Big River Steampunk Festival.

Then we have multiple appearances in the July 4 America's Birthday Parades too. Have you ever considered dancing as a form of exercise? We have a really good time, especially when we travel together and perform.

The U Can Dance Studio thanks the greater St. Louis area for voting us as the #1 Dance Company via the STL magazine annual Best of STL popular vote. According to STLMAG over 55,000 people voted. This is quite an honor!

Just so all of our Friends & Followers know the studio's formation team and solo dancers will be involved in no less than 3 exhibitions over the next 30 days.

We have 2 private ones, but the third one will be at the St. Louis Art Fair in Clayton MO on Saturday Sept. 7 @ 1:45 - 2:45 PM. We are also having our youth dancers help us out with their own routines.

As a dance studio we have been blessed with great Students & Staff. Our Adult formation team has been involved in many public & private exhibitions. The image below was from 2022 at a private function held in St. Louis known as Rollin' On The River. It is a dance convention of area Swing & Dance Clubs. We were asked to return this year. Going to be fun with this audience. Then we have a short show to do for a Festival just north of St. Louis. Plus a week later a public show at the St. Louis Art Fair in Clayton MO. We miss dancing for the pre-show @ the Muny but we understand and we still love you and the SHOWS!!!

We tell you this because we are always looking for new faces that would like to dance with us. We have gained a few over the last18 months but we have room for more.

Just recently the U Can Dance studio had a grand time performing for the Centralia Cultural center in Centralia IL. It was a Christmas in July theme. So "The Grinch" was the very first routine on stage! We had an absolute blast over the next 2 hours or so.

Just so you know we are always welcoming at our studio to folks that would like to learn how to dance or want to expand their skill set. Dancing with like minded people is just a good time in our group classes.

Our last Beginner group lesson in the current series is Wednesday night this week. The next series has not been scheduled as of this time. So stay current with our posts. We will let you know. Have a Great Summer!

With Centralia Cultural Society – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉

We had a fun time in Centralia IL entertaining with the Christmas in July theme. We had enough routines to fill 2 hours and quite a few laughs as well. A live show with an interactive audience just is a good time for us.

We are looking forward to more performances this season.

Do you dance or want too? Come to our studio and visit. There are first timers in the photo. Yes we let the audience know. They all responded with applause with a couple of whistles as well.

Back in 2017 the studio performed at the Centralia Cultural Society's theater for a fine group of people. It was the first time performing in that venue. We had a great time and were asked to perform by the couple in the lower center of this image. We have danced for this group twice now.

Tomorrow we will be putting on another show (our third) to basically honor the Gentleman in the middle, Robert. Gayle, his wife & dance partner is in the purple costume.

He has been missed by many and it will be our pleasure to perform for his friends as he was also one of us, a dancer who enjoyed life to the fullest. We are going to have a good time performing with the theme Christmas in July. Thanks for asking us to return.
