Our Annual Chili Cookoff this week was 🔥. With a history that stretches back as far as we can remember, it's become a fan-favorite, annual event that our team eagerly anticipates every year.

Our judging panel featured Abstrakt team members and local restaurant experts to help ensure a fair and flavorful competition. The winners were Danny Beene, Connor McClanahan, Kelsey Chitwood, and raffle winner, Keith Smith. Thank you to everyone who participated, we had over 20 chilis this year! 🌶️

Did you know at Abstrakt we have established Employee Resource Groups? Currently, we have a couple making a positive impact on our team but we are excited to see which groups come together next year too!

This week, we played our annual Candy Toss Challenge! 🍬 We had over 80 of our team members come and try their luck. Players had to sink a bean bag behind their back into the hole and we had seven team members nail it! Our raffle winners were Jacob, Whitney, Molly, and Mercer!

This challenge is just one of our many monthly events, all perfectly aligned with our October theme: "Ghoul Getter." 👻 You probably saw last week's Candy Corn Conundrum and we're getting excited to wrap up the month with next week's Halloween Costume Contest! 🎃

Did you know our Annual Family Picnic has been a tradition for over 15 years at Abstrakt? Despite a few location changes along the way, it's one of our favorite events!

Grant's Farm was the perfect spot for this year's picnic with so much to do with our friends and family. Goat feeding, parakeet house, bounce house and so much more. Thank you to all of our team members who came to hang out this past weekend!

Paddles up! 🐉We had a blast last month at the Annual Dragon Boat Races at Creve Coeur Park. We may not have been the fastest boat, but we still had a blast with friends, family, and our entire team. Yesterday the energy was electric at the Touchdown Trickshot Challenge, in our Levee House Courtyard. Each player had 5 chances to throw a football to touchdown their way into earning some additional raffle tickets. We had about 100 A-Players come out but in the end, Andrew ended up scoring BIG and taking home the Tailgate Wagon prize! 🏈

Guess what?! We are exactly one month out from our annual family picnic. This is a day of fun with family and friends and we look forward to it every year. We’re even switching up our location to something new this year and couldn’t be more excited!

Abstrakt is thrilled to announce that we were selected as a winner of the Brandon Hall Group Bronze award for excellence in the New Hire Onboarding. This is the second year in a row that our company has taken home this win. These awards are one of the largest and longest-running HCM award programs in the world. They highlight excellence in training, learning, talent, HR, or other related departments and include entries from the top organizations in the nation. Congrats to the entire team but specifically those who played a major role in the development of this training program!

We had a blast this past weekend at the Annual Gateway Dragon Boat Festival. BIG shoutout to all of our Abstrakt team members and families who came out to support and row in the races. We’re proud to be a sponsor at this awesome event and we even took home the award for best dressed drummer this year! ⁣

We are so grateful to be chosen as one of the locations for Abstrakt Marketing Group Give Back Day 2023! They brought such a fun and hard working group to help tackle some much needed weeding and mulching, as well as painting, cleaning, and moving furniture in one of our newly renovated buildings. We appreciate all of you!

Heads up! Our team will be out of the office tomorrow for our annual Give Back Day. If you aren’t familiar, this is a day when our team members are granted leave to volunteer at non-profits across the STL area. It’s one of our favorite days and events of the year!
