I’ve been contemplating writing new music and trying to find a solid line up and relaunching Maximus one more time.
Is it worth it?
Would anyone support it?
Is it too late?
Would anyone be interested in being involved as a writer performer ?

Thoughts?

Anyone have any original recording projects in the works they’d want me to guest vocal or guitar on?

I used to do these all the time and it was a blast.

Just putting it out there.

I’m going to be making some changes and I’d like to know who’s still with me.

The band page will get an overhaul

Some familiar faces and new faces will be making their appearance here and the music… well I’ll let it speak for itself when the time is right.

If you’ve been a Maximus fan all this time you’ve been a fan of my writing and performing because let’s be honest, I am the only constant in this group. I really appreciate the continued support especially those of you from back in the DimeStore Indian days who are still here through Karma, Field Of Grey, 8years, Isaac James, Maximus, and what’s about to come.

Companies change all the time but the product needs to continue getting better and improving upon itself or the loyalty from you guys understandably goes away.

Green dot financial

Let me tell you why you should avoid this company and or cancel any accounts you have with them.

This last month my wife and I bought a house. We saved up the money to pay our first payment well ahead of April first, almost three weeks ahead of schedule in fact.
We used a program Green Dot offered call bill pay which takes the money from your account, then writes a check in your name and sends it to the intended recipient.

Our money was removed from our account mar17th and then we were notified mar 24 it was mailed successfully to the mortgage company.

Here’s where the rub enters the room.

Our company has several locations in and around the Chicago area, some in the same zip code.

We provided the exact location to green dot from our mortgage paperwork and because of someone’s blatant negligence and incompetence they didn’t bother to verify they’re own entry and sent our money off to an address that doesn’t exist.

Last Thursday we contacted green dot to let them know our mortgage company hadn’t received the money after a weeks time and that the address they sent it to as provided by their own record was incorrect.

We asked they put a stop payment on the check, refund the money so we could pay the mortgage payment asap.

They assured us they would escalate this issue and that within 24-48 hours we would receive a call (Friday night ) and that our money would be escalated back to our account.

Friday came
No call
No money
On top of that they flagged our card and shut it off to send us a new one even though we told them we were not reporting our card for fraud.

So we hit the weekend
No access to the money in our account
No mortgage payment refunded
No communication.

Sunday morning comes and I’ve got a notification in my credit report that because my mortgage payment is now late I’ve been hit with interest added to my overall amount to the tune of 500 bucks roughly and my now my credit score dropped by a point because of non timely payment.

We called the customer rep Sunday and tried to explain the situation but were continually disrespectfully talked over by the phone representative. When we asked for a manager who had the authorization to resolve this issue, all she kept saying was that’s not going to happen. Repeatedly over and over until she simply hung up on us.

We called back, same ole same until she hung up on us a second time.

When I contacted green dots accounting dept they gave us a number and assured us we would be of the highest priority if we contacted them.

Kimber Starks called them and got the very same run around and this time they informed us that not only does it take ten days but now an additional ten days to allow them to appeal or some ridiculous excuse to continue delaying our refunded money.

In the meantime we’ve had to pull what was saved for bills and next months mortgage payment and scramble to pay AGAIN for the first month leaving us high and dry until next pay period for both of us.

I’ve filed a complaint with the SEC and will continue reporting this to every government agency I can find until I run out of them.

My hope is that it cost them millions in legal fees and puts them under a federal microscope for the next decade for fraudulent and negligent practices. I can guarantee if this happened to us it’s happened to several others as well.

If I can drive customers away from this place and cause their executives to go to prison over fraud, you better believe I’m pressing forward for as long as I can.

My advice
Stay far away from Green Dot
If you’re already attached, pull your money from their accounts.

These people are negligent and incompetent and have no business running any financial institution.

Stop by my buddy’s place in Georgia and say hey.

And now, a Maximus safety briefing...

As the sun begins to fall and the real true nature of America begins to rear its ugly head (fireworks and drunkenness) we'd like to offer a few words of safety consciousness in hopes that somewhere inside your inebriated thought processes, you think before acting.
I'd like to leave you with a few phrases to avoid using prior to the lighting of anything explosive.

Avoid saying things like
Hold my beer
Y'all watch this
This is gonna be nuts
Awww hell that wadnt nuthin, check this out
Is that all you got?

These phrases and those alike, usually when accompanied with the immediate follow up of lighting fireworks will almost always result in the loss of an eye or fingers so please avoid the use of them prior to burning that fuse.

Remember
Don't say the phrase before makin the haze

About a year ago, we in Maximus had the fortune to be introduced to James Murphy formerly of the band Head East.
An amazing friendship was formed and i personally consider this guy like my own family. He and his beautiful wife Tammy have treated us like their own flesh and blood along with Danny at Joe joes in Granite City Illinois. I am truly thankful for the connection.
Jim called me the other night and personally invited Maximus and friends to be his special guests at the upcoming Head East show in Greenville Illinois next weekend and I cannot tell you how stoked I am.

I grew up a fan of Head East listening to them on KSHE 95 for years and never in a million years would I have thought I'd have gotten the opportunity to perform one of their biggest hits on stage with a member of the band, nor tour with one of his guitars, and I certainly never imagined I'd be invited by a member of the band to hang out backstage with my band Maximus.

Jim, thank you sir. It is an honor to know you brother.
