St. Louis Dream Center
An outreach of Joyce Meyer Ministries, we're a thriving, multi-cultural, urban church that is literal
When Jesus rose from the dead, grief departed, and His suffering—so wrenching and complete—became a thing of the past.
At the moment of Christ's resurrection, His focus, and ours, turned to the future.
The miraculous lesson of Easter is this: Through Jesus' death on the cross, we have been granted a second chance.
We have permission to leave our old lives behind and focus on the new day, with all its potential for joy and choices that honor God.
Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, Easter is the perfect time to ask Him into your heart and your life.
The Genesis Men’s celebrated their 100th Graduate! At the age of 14, Josphat began drinking. By the time he reached 21, what initially began as an occasional drink had evolved into a daily struggle to function without it. His drinking transformed him into a different, mean, and argumentative person.
Following multiple stints in detox facilities, Josphat made a crucial decision to change his life, leading him to Genesis Men’s Home. Tired of the alcoholic lifestyle, he sought a transformation and placed his faith in God for a brighter future. Josphat reflects, “Joining the Genesis Men’s Home turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. During my time there, I acquired valuable skills in leadership and communication, and learned to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Now, I believe God has a purpose for my life and am grateful that He never gave up on me during my darkest times.”
A heartfelt thank you to our partners for your continuous support; it is making a significant impact at our Genesis Men’s Home, where lives are transformed every day!
With Thanksgiving just around the corner many families struggle to provide a meal for their families. Our St. Louis Dream Center (an outreach of Joyce Meyer Ministries and Hand of Hope) wanted to come along side our community and make this Thanksgiving a special one for families. 100 volunteers from our headquarters and several local churches made 150 bags full of your favorite Thanksgiving foods, a book from Joyce Meyer, and a handwritten card. Teams went door to door to deliver the bags and pray for the people in our community.
The St. Louis Dream Center has been doing the Thanksgiving Blessing for over two decades, feeding thousands of local residents not just a Thanksgiving meal, but also showing them the love of Christ in a practical way. Thank you partners for helping us provide a meal and bring some hope this Thanksgiving.
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Sometimes it’s the little things that open the door to big things! The St. Louis Dream Center just wrapped up its summer camp where kids were able to laugh with friends, play games together, have water balloon fights, learn to cook, but most importantly, encounter the life-changing love of Jesus! Thank you to our partners for all the lives you changed and all the smiles you made possible for children in the inner-city this summer!
Happy Independence Day! We are so blessed by our freedom and thankful for those who work to maintain it.
We get to see some of the best smiles here at DC! 😄🤗
Thank you Guts Church for bringing a team to invest in our community! They ministered to the unhoused, helped in our food pantry, played games with kids at our summer camp, and did projects around the campus. We couldn’t do it without our volunteers!!

A simple smile could make all the difference for someone you meet today.

Our Story
Our story begins with an uplifting visit to the Dream Center in Los Angeles, where Dave and Joyce Meyer saw firsthand the restorative influence the Los Angeles Dream Center had on the crime-ridden, impoverished community surrounding it. Dave and Joyce were moved by God to bring the outreach efforts of the Los Angeles Dream Center to the hurting people in their own city of St. Louis.
With the help of David and Shelly Meyer and a handful of committed volunteers, they planted the St. Louis Dream Center right here in the heart of North St. Louis. Our first outreach, Adopt-A-Block, began as volunteers hit the streets of North St. Louis each Saturday ready with rakes, lawnmowers, trash bags, and gifts. They cleaned up the neighborhood and served the people. But most importantly, they built lasting relationships with the community.
On Sunday, October 28, 2000, we held our first official church service. More than 300 people attended that first service, and we’ve been focused on inspiring hope, empowering dreams and strengthening families ever since.
Today, we’re reaching out to thousands of people each week through our dynamic worship services and outreach efforts and invite you to join our family and see firsthand the difference we can make together.
