My husband is our house pitmaster 🍖and has a collection of spice blends he uses on his smoked🔥 meats. So I built this spice rack to display them and relieve some storage in our pantry.
Our front door needed some freshening up. So I added another coat of the existing paint and made a new wreath. Looking good again!

Sharing my fireplace all dressed up for Christmas! 🎄
Fireplace glow up! I used Romabio Cristallo white lime wash to lighten the brick and added picture molding above the mantle. Now the fun of decorating it for Christmas!
My latest build. I wanted a coffee table in my family room, but didn’t have room for a one. So I made this pine waterfall table to place over the ottoman. It can easily be positioned anywhere over it or moved off if we need extra seating.
I built this cart as a housewarming gift for my son and his housemates. This was much more challenging than I imagined, but it’s finished just in time for delivery.
HAPPY 4th of JULY 🇺🇸
Ready for our holiday party! This is my first attempt at decorating sugar cookies with homemade royal icing. The bunting cookies are my favorite. It took a long time and I’m learning and experimenting as I go. I hope they taste as good as they look.
My sister has been wanting dress up this wall in her kitchen for years. I helped her achieve her goal this week adding board and batten. It’s now a great focal wall and perfect for displaying her favorite decor.
I had so much fun decorating my buffet table with these speckled eggs hanging from blossom branches and the bunnies I painted to look like concrete.
Hopping on here to share my 🐰 garland. It turned out so cute! I made the cottontails out of leftover white yarn and the bunnies from brown scrapbook paper with white dots.
Mantel snow village, the 2022 edition. 🏠❄️🌲I’ve styled my mantel with these $5 Target houses for years and usually switch up the trees in the village a little each year. This year I added a church I found at TJ Maxx. The new wood spun trees from Home Goods really balance it all out. This is my favorite setup so far!
This weekend I hosted a craft night. We made dried 🍊 garland. So many pretty versions adding in bay leaves, cinnamon, wood beads and velvet ribbon. They have a nice scent too!
I love theses wood spools I made to store and display twine. Supplies: 4” Round Wood Plaques and a 5/8” dowel (cut to desired length) from Hobby Lobby. I used a drill spade to make a 1/4” deep insert in the center and added the dowel with wood glue. I stained each a slightly different color for added interest. These wood be great for holiday ribbon too.
My youngest thinks my fireplace Halloween decor is a little scary. 🕸🕷🎃
What do you think?
Pretty & spooky 💀🦇
Happy National Dog Day!
This is our new puppy Phoebe. She’s a labradoodle and 12 weeks old today!
It’s always fun to make little changes in a room. Our kitchen faces West and gets beaten with all of the afternoon sun. We lost a tree that gave some relief, so blackout shades were a must. I was lucky enough to find a matching set in the sizes I needed so I didn’t have to do a custom order. Bonus, I loved the pattern too!
Playing around with a new hoop style. What do you think?
Thank you to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.🇺🇸
Congrats to all of the 2022 graduates🎓🎉🍾! So proud of my oldest who graduates from college tomorrow. She has a long list of accomplishments and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
I made this wreath in her school colors for the occasion and to welcome her home.

If you saw my stories last week, I flashed a paint color swatch for our kitchen island. All of my cabinets were SW Creamy and I decided to update the island with a pop of color. I also added a third shelf for more storage. The new color is SW Retreat. I love it! It looks great with my wood floors and dark countertop.
A little pick-me-up this week for all the teachers heading into the last semester of the school year. Start your day off with a cute glass of iced coffee. You got this! 👍🏻

Since summer and the realization that we will probably be working at home permanently )with maybe only brief stints in the office), I’ve been working on converting our living room into an office. I drew up plans for built ins and had a local woodworker build and install them. They provide much needed storage.
Can you believe the wall behind the desk is faux shiplap? I used a black colored pencil, level and yard stick to create the lines. It makes a great backdrop for zoom calls, but easy to remove for the next design trend.
I’m waiting on a couple of things for the other side of the room, so keep an eye out for more to come.
Last pic is the before pic.
Walls: SW White Duck
Cabinets: SW Anew Gray
Recently, I reorganized my kitchen cabinets. This included going through cookbooks. Before I picked up our American Girl Baking cookbook, I had considered donating it since my girls are past the AG phase. As I flipped through it, I found a number of recipes I wanted to try. So I decided to keep it and made these raspberry chocolate tartlets. They are so cute and delicious!
A little Monday motivation for you. I know you’re doing you’re best and you’re doing great!
Personalized serving trays are very popular housewarming gifts. These were stained in briarsmoke which has cool gray undertones for a modern look.
