We are so moved by Zina Al-Shukriโs portrait series in her current solo exhibition โCOMMUNION.โ The artistโs family and friends sat in communion with her as she painted them, and as Zina explained to us, poured out their inner most vulnerabilities while being seen so intimately by her. Creating humans in motion, with emotion, Zinaโs painterly strokes give us more than a single moment in time through one image.

Maxine Thirteen is a self-taught artist currently residing in South St. Louis City. Her oil paintings focus on portraiture and utilize inspiration from old films, vintage advertisements, and pin-ups to express commentaries on femininity, social satire, and introspection. Her paintings often incorporate macabre or unusual elements into glamorous imagery to simultaneously entice and disturb the viewer.
Jen Wohlner was born in Illinois in 1988. She received her BFA from the University of Southern California in 2010 and will receive her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2024.
Jen Wohlnerโs detailed pen and colored pencil drawings, ceramic sculptures and Internet art address the repetitive architecture and planning of modern residential communities and the isolated individuals who inhabit them.

Edo Rosenblith was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, but has spent most of his life in the United States. He received his BFA in painting in 2011 at the Rhode Island School of Design, and his MFA in Visual Art at Washington University-St. Louis in 2017.
