Virtual Closure Memorial Services is opening soon...

When God closes one door, He opens another, and I'm pleased to announce that I've been working and training for this new business adventure this past year.

In November of 2020, my sister-in-love, who lived in Texas, died unexpectedly from heart failure. I knew I couldn't attend her memorial service because of pre-existing conditions. While a few options were available, such as drive-through funerals and immediate family-only viewings, there was a lack of opportunities for a truly personalized memorial service.

My niece did a great job arranging her mothers' memorial service, I was able to watch it live-streamed; but, because of Covid-19, only about 20 people attended the service in person.

I took this as my inspiration to open my own company: Virtual Closure LLC. To gain knowledge and training about this new industry, I took a seven-month course with the Celebrant Foundation & Institute, and I'm a Life-Cycle Certified Funeral Celebrant®.

Virtual Closure will eliminate distance and circumstantial barriers. Far too often, family and friends miss the opportunity to pay their respects and show support, and we know that being together matters. Virtual Closure will stand in the gap to meet the need to be together, and we will provide you with the tools you need to focus on what matters most - each other.

Combing or brushing our hair is a daily struggle for women with curls, that makes us give up sometimes. However, there is a need to brush or comb the hair since it has several advantages for girls with curls: it adds luster, detangles hair, and exfoliates the scalp.

Naturally, these advantages are only available if you know how to brush curly hair properly. Aside from heat tools, there is perhaps no other tool that can do as much minor and significant damage to hair as a hair brush. If you don't do it well, or if you don't use the appropriate curly hair brush for your curl type.

Take note of these details before tossing your brushes in the garbage, as they will hopefully help you learn how to detangle curly hair in a way that prevents damage, excessive stretching, and even reduces frizz. Brushing curly hair is beneficial, but how you brush it makes a major impact in how well your curls stay intact.

Here are some tips that could help you when brushing your hair:

1. Separate your work into sections. It's usually ideal to work in portions, especially while brushing, no matter what your styling end goal is or where you are in your wash day routine.
2. Make use of hair oil. When brushing your hair, one of the most crucial, if not the most important, suggestions is to keep it hydrated. Before and while styling, slick it with a hair oil or serum to keep the individual strands pliable and prevent them from drying out.
3. Spritz your hair with hairspray. Don't underestimate the value of hairspray. To minimize static and control flyaways, use it immediately to your brush rather than your hair.
4. Don't take things too slowly. While hurrying through the chore of brushing your hair is not a good idea, you also don't want to pick up your hair brush too slowly. After applying your products, brush through your spirals immediately.
