Today we are happy to be celebrating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's First Folio being published!
We have John Heminges and Henry Condell, to thank for this publication, as without it at least half of Shakespeare's plays would have been lost! There were over 750 copies first published in 1623, seven years after Shakespeare's death, that collected 36 of his works together in his first folio. So today, join us in celebrating this momentous achievement and the many years of entertainment that the bard has brought us!
"Christina Rios should be commended for taking bold risks with one of Shakespeare’s most often performed and well-known comedies. She created a unique and different take on a play that people have seen many times. Her collaboration with her team, especially her cast, resulted in some incredible performances."
Review: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at Robert G. Reim Auditorium The best of the production stemmed from the performances that Rios’ helped her actors create. Tiélere Cheatem’s turn as Puck was as magical as the tricks Puck plays on the characters in the play. Cheatem luminous stage presence made it impossible to take your eyes off of them.
