Please note: The first two photos show a small bead of adhesive being applied to the molding and cowl retainer on the windshield to promote further retention of the molding and retainer. The final adhesive application is shown in the third picture, running a V bead to the body at a 90-degree angle as instructed by the adhesive system manufacturer.

The AGSC has announced its new officers and board members. Jacques Navant, technical director of Don's Mobile Glass in Modesto, California, has been elected President.
Peter Brown of Tiny & Sons Auto Glass in Pembroke, Massachusetts, has been re-elected vice president.
Troy Mason has been elected treasurer. He is the senior vice president and general manager of auto glass at Caliber Auto Glass.

The Fix Network Apprenticeship Program (FNAP) recently produced its first graduate. The company-wide auto glass apprenticeship program requires apprentices to pass the Auto Glass Safety Council’s (AGSC) Certified Technician test in addition to FNAP testing.

The bronze medalist for the Auto Glass Week™ (AGW) 2023 Windshield Repair Olympics is an Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) certified technician in both repair and replacement. He first competed at AGW in 2016, and in 2021, he won the gold medal in the prestigious international Windshield Repair Competition.

The Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) is developing two new certification programs: a customer service representative (CSR) certification program and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) auto glass technician certification program.

Nine calibration equipment companies have provided the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) with a Declaration of Conformance to the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS™).
By submitting a declaration, these companies testify that their Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration tools, if used correctly, comply with the AGRSS Standard by performing to OEM specifications.
The AGSC asks that all companies that distribute ADAS calibration equipment submit a Declaration of Conformance.

Kentucky legislation that will dramatically change the auto glass industry in that state was signed into law by the Governor on April 2. The bill passed the State Legislature on March 27 and was similar to legislation passed in Florida in 2023.
