Congratulations to Ridwan Ayinla, a Sustainable Bioproducts doctoral student in for receiving a prestigious summer fellowship from The Electrochemical Society!
Ridwan is one of only four graduate students in the nation to earn this award, which he’ll use to further his groundbreaking research into green batteries and supercapacitors powered by biomass. His work harnesses energy from agricultural waste, paving the way for sustainable energy solutions.

At a young age, Kristine Evans was inspired by her aunt who shared her interest and knowledge of nature and birds. This inspiration sparked Evans' dream of becoming a wildlife biologist. As an associate professor in wildlife, fisheries and aquaculture and associate director of the Geosystems Research Institute, Evans is always proud to watch students she mentored become successful in their careers.
We celebrate these female faculty for teaching the next generation of natural resource professionals.
