We had a very busy August at CTS between the start of our 2025 renewal season and several conferences—thank you to everyone who joined us at the ALTA Summer Workshop and the CHIA and IAI annual conferences! We had a great time speaking with you about industry developments and the importance of external testing for quality assurance, and we are excited to continue using that insight to keep our testing engaging and relevant for all of our participants.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Rubber Division Advisory Committee meeting and the annual International Symposium on Human Identification in September!

We recently received our updated ANSI National Accreditation Board scope and certificate of accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043:2023 for proficiency testing providers—see what this means for our customers and for our continued commitment to excellence in quality assurance below!

What an amazing week in the last frontier—thank you to everyone who joined us at the Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners 2024 Training Seminar! Our technical team is settling back into the office after an exciting week speaking with the best in the industry about developments in fi****ms and toolmarks technology as well as our GSR distance determination test design change!

(We couldn't help but check in with the local wildlife, too!)

As the weather at our office gets warmer, our ESOP Communications Committee hosted our annual company picnic to give everyone a chance to enjoy the fresh air, connect with their fellow employee-owners, and put aside our typical emphasis on teamwork for a bit of friendly competition at TopGolf (congratulations to our first round winners)!

Our ESOP Committee is a part of our efforts at CTS to create a work environment where every employee-owner feels not only recognized and rewarded for their contributions, but invested in the success of their colleagues—we're grateful for the work they do as they keep CTS' company culture above par!

H**p and cannabis education in the City of Fountains—our staff had a great time at in Kansas City last week! Thank you to everyone who connected with us and provided insight on the changing needs and concerns of the industry in light of recent developments in regulation and discussions on rescheduling.

It's , and we're more than happy to celebrate the positive impact small businesses like ours can have on their communities and industries as well as the people that make it possible. Our technical staff had a great time last week at the ASCLD Annual Symposium, where we were able to meet so many others driving innovation in the forensics field!

CTS recognized this year by working hard and playing hard—our Sustainability Task Group organized participation in a local volunteer park cleanup, and we celebrated with co****le and herb and vegetable planting!

CTS and Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I-3) are excited to announce a joint project to create and administer a Facial Identification Proficiency Test (FIPT). The test will open for enrollment on January 2, 2024.

Lora Sims of I-3 will bring her biometrics expertise to the test as the Technical Director of the joint program. CTS will build upon its legacy as the first and still-largest forensics proficiency testing provider to serve as the administrator of the test.
