I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for those of you who voted for me and supported my campaign. I knew my getting elected was a long shot, but that doesn't mean I didn't appreciate everyone who took the time to talk with me, put a sign in their yard, or cast a vote my way.
Every vote counts and the fact that people took the time to participate in this democratic process is something to be thankful for. There will always be other opportunities in the future and your efforts and messages have not gone unnoticed.
Thank you very much.
Voting is not a mere checkbox on our to-do list; it is a wonderful tool that allows us to shape the future of our community. By voting, we ensure that our voices are heard, and our values are reflected in the decisions made on our behalf.
We owe it to ourselves and our community to recognize the importance of voting and actively participate in this democratic process. Please go out today and vote. And, if you are in the USD 376 school district, please consider voting for me.
Go out and vote!
I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank Game On for Kansas Schools for recognizing me as a school board candidate that would best serve USD 376. I will do my best to serve the community and make positive changes for the school district. Please consider voting for me on November 7th!
My campaign yard signs have come in and they are ready to be delivered to your yard! Please consider getting a yard sign if you want to support a candidate that:
✅Understands that a balance is needed between parent rights and parent responsibility.
✅Believes that the promotion of transparency will only strengthen the relationship between the board and the community it serves, not hinder it.
✅Knows that budget responsibility is important to the success of USD 376.
✅Recognizes that student safety and their overall well-being is paramount to ensuring a healthy learning environment.
I do not take this endeavor lightly and I will work hard to make sure that all of the students of USD 376 feel welcome and accepted. I invite anyone that has questions to reach out to me via Facebook, email, or by phone.
You can also visit with me on October 16th at the Meet the Candidates event at Studio 96 at 7pm.
I look forward to having the opportunity to serve our community on the board of education and I would appreciate your vote on November 7th!
The public is invited to an open house to see the newly updated SJSHS Library. The library space received new paint, carpet, fiction shelves, and tables and chairs on wheels to provide flexible seating for a variety of meetings and events. The project was paid for through a $20,000 Libraries Transform grant awarded by the South Central Kansas Library System with matching funds from the district. Refreshments will be served 5:45-6:15 pm before the budget and Board of Education meetings.

What are the hot-button issues facing school boards today? School boards are faced with the difficult task of deciding how to allocate limited resources to provide a quality education for all students. Districts face a variety of pressing educational issues. Decisions must be made on how to address them. Some hot-button issues facing school boards today are...
I have decided to run for Sterling USD 376 School Board. With a deep commitment to public education, I am running to ensure student safety, promote board transparency, ensure budget responsibility, and to strengthen parent rights and responsibility and help promote parent participation in our schools. The safety and well-being of our students is paramount.
As a member of the School Board, I will make it a priority that our schools are a learning environment where every student feels safe, supported, and valued. By fostering a culture of safety, we can empower our students to thrive academically and emotionally. I don't want this for certain groups of students. I want this for all students.
Transparency is the cornerstone of an effective educational system. If elected to the School Board, I pledge to prioritize transparency by advocating for open and accessible decision-making processes. I will work diligently to keep the community informed about board activities, policies, and initiatives. Through regular updates, public forums, and a willingness to listen to diverse perspectives, I will ensure that every stakeholder has a voice in shaping the future of our schools.
Accountability in budgetary matters is essential to ensure the efficient allocation of the district's resources. I will advocate for robust oversight and responsible fiscal management of our school district's budget. By maintaining fiscal accountability, we can make the most of our resources to provide the highest quality education for our students.
Parental involvement is a critical factor in student success. I strongly believe in the importance of parents and guardians actively participating in their child's education. Parents should work with teachers to ensure that all our children receive the best education possible. And, ensuring that there are open lines of communication between parents and teachers if there's a concern.
As a School Board member, I will strive to foster a strong partnership between parents, educators, and administration. This includes creating opportunities for meaningful engagement, establishing open lines of communication, and providing resources to support parents in their roles as advocates and partners in their child's educational journey.
I am committed to driving positive change in our school district. Again, if elected, I will work tirelessly to champion board transparency, enhance student safety, ensure budget accountability, and strengthen parent responsibility. Together, we can help build a school system that empowers our students, supports our educators, and prepares our future leaders for success.
I invite you to join me on this important journey. Your support and active involvement are invaluable. Together, let us make our voices heard and shape the future of education in our community. Thank you for your support and I would appreciate your vote come election time.
