Mike and Kat's Other Place

Kat is finally home and resting and recovering. It has been a long stay at the hospital getting all the pain under control from the surgery. There is a lot of recovery ahead of her, but in the end it will all be worth it.

We want to thank all the nurses and staff at Woodwinds for their hard work, patience and dedication to providing excellent care.

We also want to thank all of our customers (friends) for your patience and support while we have been closed during this time. I plan to be back behind the counter Tuesday September 3rd ready to serve the best coffee, freshest in-house roasted beans and house made syrups. I hope to see you all again soon!

Kat's surgery is wrapped up! The surgeon has let me know that he is cautiously optimistic that she will make a good recovery. Hopefully, in time she will start to have more feeling in her extremities and more mobility. Recovery will be slow and she will be will in the full hard torso brace for 90 days (24x7). We appreciate all the support this community has offered and look forward to seeing you all again soon!

I will be staying at Kathryn's side for the next couple of weeks when she comes home to make sure she has everything she needs. We should be set up well for family to take over for me when I return to the shop on the 3rd of September.

I want to thank you again for all your support during this time. We appreciate this community and the relationships we have established here.

Stay posted as I will try to get in a couple hours here an there the next couple of weeks for coffee bean and nitro pick up! I'll post here when you should be able to expect me.

Continue to take care of each other my friends. We are North Hill strong!

Lumberjack Days are back! This year is the 86th Lumberjack Days, celebrating 90 years since the very first event in 1934.

The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce Foundation is hosting the Lumberjack Days Parade this year on Sunday, July 21, 2024 starting at 11 AM, in partnership with the Lumberjack Days weekend festivities starting Friday July 19th.
