Our Homecoming Executive Team visited this year’s participating sororities and fraternities tonight to express their appreciation and support for their pivotal role in America’s Greatest Homecoming! 👏

On Friday, Aug. 30, the OSU Alumni Association will be honoring seven graduates with the Distinguished Alumni Award. The seventh honoree we want to introduce is James "Jim" Morris II.

James "Jim" Morris graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Morris owns River Ranch Capital and JMM Farms LLC, overseeing Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities, oil and gas interests, racing stables, and a cattle company. After graduating from OSU, he joined John Hancock Financial Services, eventually becoming CEO in 1999. Morris retired in 2004 and now serves on several boards, including the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Morris received the Maureen Reagan award for his work with the Alzheimer's Association and the Hope Award for his work with the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

On Friday, Aug. 30, the OSU Alumni Association will be honoring seven graduates with the Distinguished Alumni Award. The sixth honoree we want to introduce is N. Malone Mitchell Jr.

N. Malone Mitchell, Jr. graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.

Mitchell, owner and operator of Mitchell Ranches in Oklahoma and Texas, has led successful cattle, sheep, and goat operations. He has served as president of the Western National Polled Hereford Association and held leadership roles in various agricultural organizations. Mitchell has also been an active community leader, recognized as Cattleman of the Year by the Oklahoma Cattle Association and a recipient of the Ferguson College of Agriculture Distinguished Alumni Award.

On Friday, Aug. 30, the OSU Alumni Association will be honoring seven graduates with the Distinguished Alumni Award. The next honorees we would like to introduce are Robert and Sharon Keating.

Robert graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1972 with a bachelor of arts in economics, while Sharon earned her bachelor of science degree in business administration from OSU in the same year.

Robert became president and CEO of Topographic, Inc., in 1989, with Sharon serving as financial controller. They successfully led the company until their retirement in 2017 and 2019, respectively. The Keatings have generously supported scholarships at OSU, including the Arts and Sciences Keating Family Scholarship, General University Scholarship for students from southwestern Oklahoma, and contributed to several campus building projects.
