Sherry (Qiang) Fu has won the PhD Robberson Dissertation Scholarship, an award that will help assist her focus on finishing my dissertation work and recieving her PhD from the Spears School of Business - Oklahoma State University.
“Sherry was a great choice for this award,” Nikos Dimotakis said. “Her scholarship is top notch, and not only does her work address important theoretical and practical problems, it also enables brand-new avenues of research.”

The Department of Management and the Spears School of Business - Oklahoma State University are excited to announce our own Raj Basu, PhD as the recipient of the 2021 OSU Outreach Excellence Award and the 2021 Spears Outreach Award!
How does a team react when a new member joins? What if the new member is significantly more attractive or higher in status than the other members? Does their gender influence the team’s behavior? Will it make the team more effective? Does it matter at all?
These questions are examined in the paper, “Dealing with new members: Team members' reactions to newcomer's attractiveness and sex,” a study led by Federico Aime, management professor at Spears School of Business - Oklahoma State University, published by the Journal of Applied Psychology.

Aime leads research studying reactions to new team members - Oklahoma State University Researchers decided to measure attractiveness because it is a universal status-conferring characteristic that works as an immediate status cue for others in a team.
The Spears School of Business - Oklahoma State University welcomes Cohort X to the Ph.D. in Business for Executives program.
Through the program, candidates will be allowed to earn a doctorate while continuing their full-time careers. The program is designed to bridge academic study and business practice through a rich, research-based curriculum.
“This diverse group of executives come from a variety of backgrounds including oil and gas, higher education, and technology and medical fields,” said Ken Eastman, dean of the Spears School of Business. “We can’t wait to see what awaits them.”

Department of Management administrative support specialist II, Stacia Enns is the receipient of an Outstanding Staff Award in part to her service for the Spears School of Business during the 2020-21 school year.
“Stacia fixes problems before they happen, coordinates schedules, provides timely and important communications and manages to do it all with a humble spirit,” one of her nominees wrote.
Enns, a Spears Business employee for the past four and a half years, is the receipient in the classified employee category.
Several faculty and staff members of the Spears School of Business - Oklahoma State University were recognized by Dean Ken Eastman for outstanding teaching, research and service during the 2020-21 school year at the annual faculty/staff meeting this month.
Included in these awards were several Department of Mangagement faculty, including Lindsey Greco, Anna Lennard, Nikos Dimotakis and Federico Aime.
