It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones. Our awesome family support team greeted parents with a well-earned breakfast—because let’s be honest, they deserve a reward after surviving the summer! 😄

Here’s to a year full of learning, laughter, and making memories. Welcome to our Head Start family!

Ms Tammy Brown is shining in our teacher spotlight today!

⭐ Tammy is a head start teacher at Stillwater 0-5.
⭐ She has worked for UCAP for 7 years.
⭐ Ms Tammy loves being with her family and watching her first grandchild in her spare time.
⭐ Her favorite memories from her classroom are watching the children grow and become friends and using words they've taught them during conflicts. Tammy says it is truly a blessing to watch young children learn and grow.
⭐ Ms Tammy's coach says, "Tammy always goes above and beyond when it comes to making sure each child feels included in her classroom. Her classroom is always very welcoming to the kids and their families. I can tell she strives to be the best teacher she can be for her kids. She puts a lot of thought and effort into creating a fun, hands-on learning environment for the kids in her class."

Tammy, thank you for creating a safe, inviting, loving environment for the children in your classroom. You are a champion for the children and their families and we are SO GLAD you're part of the UCAP school family!

We're celebrating Lynne Farmer in our teacher spotlight today!!

⭐ Ms Lynne is an Early Head Start teacher at Stillwater HS 0-5.
⭐ She has been working for UCAP for 15 years this month!!
⭐ Lynne said she loves to read and also write in her spare time! She's excited to have had some of her poems and stories published. Way to go, Lynne!
⭐ When we asked Ms Lynne to share a favorite memory of the classroom, she said, "A favorite memory would have to be not exactly one certain one but many. They happen when I interact with children in playful interactions, such as I Love You rituals and different songs/rhymes and their whole face lights up and they want me to do it again and again!" 💕
⭐ Lynne's coach said, "Lynne is one of the most compassionate, and nurturing EHS teachers that I have had the pleasure of Coaching. She has a great rapport with all of the kids in her classroom. When you walk into her room she almost always has at least two kids that are close by her side. Her kind demeanor is definitely one of her best assets."

Lynne, thank you for your many years of service and your dedication to UCAP and Stillwater 0-5. Your kindness and the relationships you build are HUGE for the kids and their families. We're SO GLAD you're part of our school family.

Today, our Stillwater Head Start 0-5 team gave back to the community through our annual “Tend to You Day.”

Our Family Support Advocate team led us in helping our neighbors at Senior Residences-Stillwater by cleaning up their garden and their activity room. We pulled weeds and tidied up the flower beds. It was a fantastic opportunity to show our gratitude and connect with the community.

Our monthly staff event was a blast with our "Pizza and Protist Party"!

We’ve had an amazing year with our little ones, and we’re soaking up every moment before summer. Our 3-year-old classes had an absolute blast at the ice cream party earlier this week! 🍦 The smiles and laughter were priceless. We're thrilled to share that our entire agency has successfully passed the Fardel CLASS review! 🌟 CLASS, or Classroom Assessment Scoring System, is a tool that measures the quality of teacher-child interactions in preschool classrooms. It's a big achievement for us!

Today, in Ms. Tammy and Ms. Johanna's 3-year-old class, the children had a blast making butter!

Their laughter filled the room as they shook cream into creamy goodness. It was a joy to see their faces light up with excitement for their homemade butter. Such hands-on experiences are invaluable for their learning journey!

This morning we had a delightful Muffins with Miss event!

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful Misses who joined us for breakfast, making our kids feel special and loved.

A big shoutout to our amazing cook team for preparing the delicious muffins that everyone enjoyed.

Wrapping up Day 5 of our Week of the Young Child celebration at Head Start with a bang!
From yoga to crazy hair, we've had a blast all week. Tonight, we ended on a high note with a family movie night at the center. While the kids may not have been too focused on the movie, they sure had a blast with glow sticks and running around in the dark. Huge thanks to all the families who joined us tonight! 🎉🌟 Celebrating our Head Start kids for the Week of the Young Child! Today, we started off with a refreshing yoga session led by Kristen Henry, Child Development Specialist, from Payne County Health Department. Our little ones from Ms. Zariah and Ms. Elena’s class had a blast stretching and breathing mindfully. Stay tuned for more exciting activities as we continue to celebrate our amazing kids throughout the week!

🐣🎉 Exciting News from Ms. Joni and Ms. Bridget's PreK Class! 🎉🐣

Our little ones had the incredible opportunity to witness the miracle of life firsthand, thanks to Maria Fulkersin and Ashley Brixey! For the past 20 days, they've been eagerly watching chicken eggs in the incubator, waiting for the big moment.

And guess what? Today's the hatch day! 🥳🐥 The kids were overjoyed to see the baby chicks emerge from their shells. We captured a heartwarming video showing one brave chick breaking free, with its siblings cheering it on. 🐣❤️

To make the celebration even more special, one of our kiddos is crafting a birthday card for the newborn chicks! 🎂🎈

What a cracking good time we had at our egg hunt today! 🥚🐰 The kids had a blast hunting for eggs, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing parent volunteers who helped hide them.
