Yesterday, Feb 28, my grandmother, Veronica Zinthafer Fleischman would have turned 110 years old. So, in honor of the kindest person I’ve ever known, here’s her favorite cookie. It has no name, its recipe is barely written down, but it’s cakey and stuffed with raisins and walnuts. And delicious. Just like I remember. Happy birthday, Grandma!

Thank you as always for your support while we baked your breads and pies — and dinner rolls. More than 300 dozen dinner rolls! We couldn’t have done it without the help of three former crew members who came back to help us out. We are truly grateful and blessed to have such amazing people around us. It (and lack of sleep) brings Bob to tears.
