We have received an alarming increase of complaints for vehicles passing school busses when they are loading and off-loading students. This activity is not only illegal it is dangerous.

The Stockbridge Police Department is committed to decreasing this dangerous behavior in town, and patrols have been directed to monitor bus routes during the morning and afternoon hours during the week.

We have been working diligently with our partners at Berkshire Hills Regional School District and Massini Bus Company to gather data to accomplish the goal of deterring and reducing this behavior.

If you are aware of vehicles illegally passing school busses, we urge you to immediately contact our department at (413) 298-4179. Citizens are urged to assist in our mission of keeping our students safe.

Thank you.
