Girl Scouts traveled around the world to learn and share the stories of fellow Girl Scouts from different countries.
Our troop chose Greece , their special treats were baklava, hummus and homemade pita chips.

I remember the first time I had this delectable dessert, I was 10 years old and I went to this classy French restaurant with my
great -grandparents (so many wonderful memories shared with them) the wait staff was dressed up fancier than I had ever seen now I understood why I was in my Sunday dress. They floated so eloquently around the dining room . There was a small orchestra band playing softly in the corner, the lights were dimmed low and the tables were so beautifully set. Dalias and red roses were placed on every table . The meal was good (that’s as much as I can remember ) but when my Ma ordered me a Creme Brûlée for dessert I was so excited to try this sweet treat she had been talking about all week .
The snap of burnt sugar cracking when your spoon hit it, the smooth and creamy custard of sweet vanilla coated my mouth, it was the most delicious custard I had ever tasted and instantly it became my reason why I wanted to become a Pastry Chef.
In honor of my Ma’s birthday and my birthday coming up here’s to the wonderful and delicious always
