Highlights from Day Three (Wednesday 7/17) of Unite conferences in San Diego and Bowling Green!
StoCo HS Youth are at Unite West in San Diego this week. Yesterday, they joined in amazing worship and received a good word! Please pray for our youth leaders Keith and Ro and the nine students: Alex, Atticus, Eli, James, Justine, Luke, Micah, Sofie, and Zac. (Pastors Fil and Juana are also serving at Unite West.)
Pastor Juana’s Facebook was hacked. Please do not accept a friend request that appears to be from her. The hacker may also request money-this is a scam.
We hope to have this resolved quickly.
The highlight of Day Three was the ordination of a total of 38 ministers either new or transferring into our denomination!
See a small glimpse of a familiar face about the :56 mark!
On Day One (6/27) of our denomination’s annual conference, attendees had the unique opportunity to gather for the opening evening of worship at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Dozens walked from the convention center to the museum across the bridge over the Ohio River, raising voices in freedom songs. At the museum, they sang and danced in praise to God, and Dominique Gilliard and Ramelia Williams shared God’s word.
Look for a familiar face at the :59 mark. (Spoiler alert, it’s Pastor Juana!)
Congratulations to Evelyn Johnson, our former Superintendent of the Pacific Southwest Conference (PSWC)! She was honored at our denomination’s annual meeting, which is happening now in Covington, KY. We're also excited to have Pastor Juana and Clarence K. Chan representing us at the conference.
