Comprised of Elliott & June Michaels, William Easterling, and now seeking other fine musicians to complete their sound, this electric outfit plays a variety of well-crafted, tastefully melodic original rock, folk-rock, and modern country songs, and perform it all with a very high level of professionalism and their own unique and special style. Thus, the band makes music that sails above and beyond

It's happening this Saturday evening December 23 ... GALLEON is performing as opening act at the annual ElZig Christmas Spectacular at the OnStage Atlanta in Scottdale, GA, near Decatur and Stone Mountain. If you've never seen/heard ElZig ... or Galleon, for that matter ... this is a splendid opportunity to catch both acts as well as other excellent local performers. Donations are encouraged, to help the local Food Bank and the local Animal Shelter.
OnStage Atlanta is located at 3041 N. Decatur Road in Scottdale, GA, about two blocks west of Ponce De Leon Avenue. Doors open about 6:00 p.m. and Galleon will perform about 7:00 p.m. All ages are welcome. Come early to experience Galleon and stay late to experience ElZig! A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

I'm listening to Tony Orlando's program this evening on WABC (online). His theme tonight is artists who were very successful in groups but who became even more successful after leaving these groups to go solo. It's certainly very interesting, but I believe Tony is missing a very important other side to the coin. What becomes of these groups after said members leave to go solo? The Supremes were never the same after Diana Ross left. Chicago was never the same after Peter Cetera left. Destiny's Child completely broke up after Beyonce Knowles left. And the Commodores certainly were never the same after Lionel Richie left. Who speaks for these groups and their futures once these artists depart to pursue their own careers? Perhaps this is a possible theme for a future installment. How about it, Tony?
